I came here from Diablo 3!!! [Please post here if you did as well!]

Uninstalled Diablo 3 about a week ago, I got around 150 hours worth of playtime on it so I can't be too angry about purchasing the Collector's Edition. But just recently I got back into this game since having the beta in December, and just recently dropped $50 to support GGG. Absolutely loving this game right now and got 4 friends into it with the extra beta keys I had.

Most of the time I really don't want to talk about D3, I never have anything good to say

And damn, this is a popular thread o.o

I tried the starter version of D3 and decided not to get it. It wasn't really my cup of tea and I felt the randomization was lacking after running Act I four times.

Edit: After seeing a bit of gameplay, I decided to pitch 10$ to you guys for a beta invite. Even if I don't like it, it's no harm done to my wallet, and a bit of extra money for you guys. Hope you bust out a good one GGG.

Games nowadays are declining and getting dumbed down for the msases. Please don't let that happen with Path of Exile. A dumbed down, simple game is not fun for me.

Yeah, but, just think about how much you can get for your D3 CE on Ebay! ...The original one, I mean, not the RMAH. =^[.]~=

Basically D3 does not live up to it's expectation - Blizzard reputation has been forever tarnished for me.

Their games is no longer an Insta-buy for me anymore, i'll just wait for a few months for the reviews of any of their new games(HoTS, etc etc) before buying it now.

Just wanted to say I came here after finally quiting D3 after around 150 hrs of playing. I really cannot say I had a bad time, but as many have already stated, it gets kind of repetitive in the end. So, after managing to sell a rare sword for 100$ that basically paid for the game, I really didn't see why should I continue farming (drop rates are pretty damn low) and came over here to see how is PoE doing.

Gotta say that gameplay is finnaly starting to look good, it is surely an improvement over the early videos, but what really caught my eye was the outstanding build/items/skills diversity, which is currently missing in D3. It just looks deeper, the massive skill tree, the gem system, all those item affixes... cannot wait to try out all the possibilities, I hope the open-beta will come soon or there will be a random beta invite. Or I will just pay for it, it is not much and I would gladly support this thing.

I am so glad some game is finally getting closer to epicness of D2 (in its time), I really hated D3's nobrainer skill/item system, and T2 doesn't really appeal to me.

Yes very disappointed with D3, but this game looks like it has so much promise
