I came here from Diablo 3!!! [Please post here if you did as well!]

Came here from interest. So far everything looks great. It is absolutely tragic to see Diablo 3. It doesnt even deserve the title. I have high hopes for someone to come along and bring back what the original blizzard north lost after D,DII, and LOD. There is a reason those games stole 8 years plus off and on time of my life!!! Yet blizzard completely failed to give a proper sequel!!

Bought the collectors edition of D3, played it for 3 weeks since it's release and haven't played it since. I got it because I loved the story, bought all the books though stopped after I got the Sin Wars.

The game is only enjoyable in normal mode when you finally complete act 4. The story was just 'ok' and I feel as having deckard Cain die was the new team that made Diablo 3 to say "Hey blizzard north, fuck you"

No fun in looting, or anything. Only thing I liked about Diablo 3 is the sight of the surroundings you see and how open it is where you could run around faster but I guess you need that to survive so it was forced into the game.

Anyways, I love everything PoE has brought to the table so far and they have my full support.

Yeah I got the collectors edition, played it with my friend but the game became more of a chore than having fun

Too reliant on items than skill, the fact that they built the game around items thus making it impossible to progress unless you had good enough equipment made no sense to me.

Played D1 and D2 to death and beyond and this felt like a completely different game, the whole respec with no drawback whenever you wanted remove any sense of uniqueness to it.

All characters are the same and if they're not they will be with a push of a button.

And all those skills they added/removed just resulted in fewer builds than D2 which I found hilarious since they went all Borderlands and said there would be bazillion different builds (probably ignoring the fact that they are only available to certain classes etc) to tout those kinds of numbers.

tl:dr D3 was a joke, PoE while not a OMG DIABLO game have already entertained me more than D3 and it was free.

i think a lot of us did this at the start :)

I have been playing D3 ever since they started the RMAH took everything away from the game even the GAH sucks now should have left both off and just left the core game from D2 LOD and gone from there. This game looks like it could be the next D2 LOD can't wait to try it out.

poe is better than d3 ?

Diablo 3 consistantly breaks my heart </3 even when I do have those rare moments of weakness and want to play, the servers are down, or the server lag is too much for play to be enjoyable.


But this game...


It gives me hope...

I came here from D3 as well. I joined the forums before Diablo 3 launched and finally got a beta key last week!

This game is amazing. After playing it I've decided to no longer do business with Activision-Blizzard. This is clearly a superior product and it's made by an indie developer.

Lets all just forget about Blizzard.

I have to say great job to the developers and see you all in Waecrest!
