Just got my beta invite and I've instantly dropped Diablo in favor of this, I can't even wait for the downloader to finish!

There sure is a big fallout of players from Diablo here... honestly speaking, there were many ways the game could have expanded towards more innovation and especially after ten years, everyone expected that sort of forwards-facing but fun game design from a bighuge company like Blizzard. And so, it's a bitter pill to swallow for many - that's what happens if you trust something for its name, not for its actual qualities.

And also, hi all! I plan to play many upcoming ARPG's, and Path of Exile is one of them. :P

I'm a D3 refugee as well.Late post.

I feel as if Diablo 3 just went downhill as you played it. It seemed fun and cool at first, art style was a tad strange for being a sequel to Diablo 2.

But as you went on, disillusionment sunk in, and it just sucked.

Path of Exile looks awesome, though.

I played D3 for some time.

I played few hours of PoE yesterday and this game is promising.

Seems to me, like Diablo III is the best things that could happen to PoE. Everboyd got pumped up for the next big ARPG, then Diablo III failed in the eyes of many "classic" players and instantly there is an alternative at hand.
Almost as if GGG planned it :D
