How To Dunk Like Jordan! (Physical CI Melee for Dummies!)(Ridiculous Survivability and Damage)
" To be honest, Single Target is almost unnecessary, due to your Huge Damage, but when I do Single Target I use Heavy Strike/Flicker Strike, with the two Melee Damage Supports, and Faster Attacks. ATM because of my non-functional links in chest (curently crafting an i79 Carnal Armor I looted), I am not using a Single Target at all. Ign: TheMidgetCow (Level 88.8 CI Leapslam Templar --- Default)

There is a big long post up in general about melee being stunlocked a lot at endgame, does this build get around that?
Also is there a reason templars go with Maces and Not swords or axes? (I just tend to "like" cutting weapons for whatever reason). Also are "tanks" even needed in endgame groups? I get the impression in this game they just zerg the maps with massive damage casters and freeze effects/totems/minions and such. Last edited by TroySpiral#6087 on Jun 30, 2013, 2:50:57 PM

" #1 --- Unwavering Stance, Please Read (sorry to be curt) #2 --- Maces nodes are more available and stronger. #3 --- Yes, Tanks are amazing to have for endgame bosses, but only supertanks. Ign: TheMidgetCow (Level 88.8 CI Leapslam Templar --- Default)

" thanks for taking the time to answer. I usually really am pretty good about reading before I post, I was actually just about to delete that part of the question as Is aw that part about UA just now hah. Do you mean "supertank" as in... some sort of tank that is probably hard to level with or is respeced to tank after its leveled up (aka not a high damage dealer) and probably is 1H + sheild with a ton of health nodes and such. I don't play the build anymore but what he writes is true, i didn't have very good equip except a good weapon and carnage heart and wow, great survivability. Didn't have such a tanky char, ever. Its damage is also pretty nice, i just don't play it anymore because i started it before Anarchy and now i don't play Standard anymore. The Life Leech is INSANE.

" A supertank is a high Effective HP, High Regen tank, This usually requires High damage with Life Leech, and High Armor. Ign: TheMidgetCow (Level 88.8 CI Leapslam Templar --- Default)

Been staring at this thing for what seems like all day lol.
Are you intentionally not taking frenzy charge +1 ? That works well with our key skill of Blood Rage , no? |
|
" Its not intentional, its just that the point structure of this build is VERY tight, as you want to take as many +ES nodes as possible, while also trying to grab some damage/mana/mana regen where you can. It's hard to do it all, although I am currently working on a different line of build in-game, that has a bit less ES (until later levels) and more Damage. Started building this (on day 4 of PoE been doing more reading than playing, but have been playing a ton) level 38 at the moment. Trying to do as much research as I can.
Took a few different points so far, the key one being that point right at the front +40% mana regen. Seems like a huge boost for just one point? This guy gobbles up mana with LS like crazy, with the single target not so much so i tend to use that if there are only 2-3 mobs. Blood Rage SCARES me lol. It does do a lot of damage but i also seem to take a risk wading into a pack , if i miss a few wacks... dun dun dun. I tend not to use it much. Not sure if that is "playing safe" or playing dumb. I guess i just still suck at spamming the pots and mashing the buttons. I've intentionally stayed in normal to practice as much as I can, a little afraid to move onto cruel. Also im just supposed to go with health / armor until i respec for EC guess i need to start planning for that even though its a long way off. Thanks for making this guide. I'm still confused about MANY things, but this has been a very helpful starting point, i'm sure it has taken you a ton of time to do this. If there are any mistakes you might think a ubernoob like me might be making playskill (or otherwise) from reading my posts, please feel free to be blunt. Thank again. Also what do you think is the best survivability aura for leveling with this build? Grace afer i get the passive for evsion , but before that? Armor? Health Regen?
