Why I love Diablo 3
" If you don't like it, don't buy it! It's as simple as that. You can't say that it's universally not a good product when there clearly are people (me included) that do think it's a good product. Unless you want to claim that our opinion is wrong? So again, you feel entitled to something that never was there in the first place. PS. I would not seriously claim that number of sold games has much to do with the quality of the game. I was just showing the ridiculousness of saying that the numbers speak in favor of PoE. It was there in the prequels.

" Not relevant. |

How is it not relevant? It's the same IP, changing it radically from one game to the other will make people react negatively if it's bad changes like NO SINGLEPLAYER.

" It's irrelevant to the "always online in PoE is fine but always online in D3 is bad" discussion. |

" You're still trying to argue with him? Kudos. Personally, I give up now. If he's set on tunnel-visioning his way through this, he's welcome to it. 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human.

" no, the difference is only; online-free game for a intended arpg/mmo , wich has bugs but is still in beta, and it's free forever with no advantage in-game for using money vs online-not free game for a intended arpg single/multiplayer, wich has bugs and it's released from almost 1 month now, and it's no free and have alot of advantage for who uses realy money the rest is pure speculation/fanboism Last edited by kadrek91#0601 on Jun 9, 2012, 2:23:52 AM

Sickness, I think the argument had moved on from the online-only thing when xxnoob was speaking about what the prequels had that the current Diablo does not. The 'something' that was there in the prequels of which he was speaking was the standard that he feels is lacking in D3 (which happens to be single player offline) -- when all of them were $60 products.
And I think this is a fair complaint. Same price, same IP, but with what many of us considered an essential feature of the series sudden;y absent...while a new feature, the auction house/real money auction house, is equally suddenly present. In my opinion, only a fool would think this absence of one thing and presence of another a coincidence. The argument isn't about D3 being 'online-only' vs PoE being 'online-only' -- it's why, a point you consistently seem to miss. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

People on this forum have been hating on Diablo 3 ever since it got announced, and mostly because this is free and Diablo 3 is not. I think Diablo 3 is a pretty good game and knowing Blizzard they will hopefully patch it as often as possible.

" No offence, but that is a gross simplification of the matter. Even a casual scan of this forum will reveal much more substantial reasons given for 'hating on Diablo 3' than 'this is free, D3 isn't'. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
