Why I love Diablo 3

I don't think anyone remembers how much hate D2 got when it was released.
Keyblades!
I don't, and I was there. Everyone I knew loved D2, and everyone I knew back then as regards D2 was a D1 veteran.

Could you please provide us with some sort of evidence of this 'hate' that D2 received upon release, AntiLurker?

As for this thread -- thank you very much for making it, ExileDude. It's good to see Diablo 3 love where it belongs: in its own thread instead of jamming up the works of other threads that only barely relate to Diablo 3 half the time.

I hope this thread enjoys many, many hits and many, many great responses.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

Well, to be honest, I wasn't on the forums much when Diablo II came out. I was in front of my PC, slaughtering droves of monsters with my sorc in single player.

Still, I can see why some people feel the need to defend their beloved company/game.

And if you just like the game, ExileDude, that's fine and dandy with me. Take a deep breath, log in, and have a blast playing it.

But still: Why defend a game that has obvious flaws? I mean, it's not your product, is it? Blizzard itself just keep their collective heads down at the moment.

Nevertheless, I hope you have loads of fun playing the game :-).

I've been too long I'm glad to be back
any1 here played torchlight 2?
Diablo 3 is not so bad. It got just one issue.
Just like Doom or Fallout:
The third game from the series is not bad. But shit compared to the second one.

tl;dr

If you love the game so much, why aren't you playing it?

So videogame fans can't use forums, following your logic?
''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters.
The silence is your answer.''

IGN: Vaeralyse
traveling back in time... it's year 2000 and D2 was just released.

Ok. For those of you who haven't bought or played this game yet. Stop right there and save your money for a better game.
Did you like Diablo 1? If so, then Reinstall it and play it again, because thats basically ALL you'll be doing with the 2nd version.
They keep the same graphics and put in some new classes, with different skill progression. A few more creatures, more levels of course, and a storyline.
I tell you what. If it didn't take them 2 years to make a clone of the first game. Then I wouldn't be flaming them.
Some quick BAD points.
Graphics 640x480 only. Get real. Why the #&@! did I buy my Geforce2 then?
Battle.net always down and unstable. Sure glad they had the stress tests!!
You need over 64 megs of ram, otherwise your S.O.L. because the game will chop out on you, especially in large battles (Thank god I have 320 megs!)
I'm done complaining because its given me a headache.
I am so disappointed that I paid 55 dollars for this piece of sh** game, that after 3 days I was already sick to death of playing because I finished it.

It doesn't matter how good D3 is.. there will be hate.. no matter what.. it's too popular franchise and vocal minority is always..you know..vocal..but it's not problem just D3..all popular franchises are going through same hell.. it's true..many times vocal minority represents even silent majority and game will tank. But is this case of D3? I don't know..but I am doubtful.
The biggest shit in Diablo 3 is that it won't work without Internet connection.
