" Indeed! Multistrike is a superb gem for the build, the damage reduction portion only applies to melee. Trying to play around with the skill tree so I can include Multistrike into the 6L. Furthermore I just got a new 2-hander Sword type, which gives better DPS nodes (Blade Master + Cruel Blade). This is a simple vid showing Multistrike in action! Im curious, why you aren't using chain with your LS? Multistrike + chain seems very op.

Killing normal mobs is fast enough without Chain (or LMP/GMP), and you can maintain high single target DPS for rare/unique mobs (Melee Phys / Multistrike / Wpn Ele / Faster Atk offer high dps gain). Chain greatly reduces the chance to stack shock on mob as well due to the lower damage on lightning portion.
Projectile Weakness offers 100% pierce may greatly increase mobbing (aoe killing) speed as well. Ambush: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/edit-thread/815193

I'm guessing you use Carnage Heart for the Leech?
Just using it for the stats seems rather odd, since you can easily pick up 30 dex/int for 2 points (12.5% life per point, compared to Carnage) Otherwise the build looks pretty solid, with minor modifications to the suggested leveling route (but that depends heavily on gear anyway). Ingame names:

" Gonna ditch my old characters and spent everything on this LS character. Just upgraded some of the support gems to 20% and trying to get a Kaom's Heart. With my current life% node, I'll be able to get 7.5k hp with Kaoms. Not very high but I think its good enough for now :) About Multistrike, I gonna stick with this gem and remove Elemental Proliferation (since both gems stacks shock really well), have a slight advantage on providing ASPD / overall dps.
