Exalts price

People only see the rising value of exalts but don't look at the falling prices of items.

A few weeks ago an exalt was 15-18 chaos. But a Wake of Destruction or good Andvarius would run you close to 5 exalt. Nowadays they only want pure exalt, but they only cost 3 exalt or less. So even though exalts are now closer to 28 chaos your buying power has actually increased..

Good andavarius still got for 5ex+, a crap one around 2-3. Not sure this helps your point or refutes it..

I sold my 1 socket 153% Lioneye's Glare for 33ex about a month ago when 1ex was 15 chaos.

Nowadays, a similar Lioneye's would go for 8ex. Since 1ex goes for about 30 chaos now, you would be paying 240 chaos -- over 200 chaos less than a month ago.

So to whoever was saying high-end items are also inflating, that's simply untrue. You can buy more with your money than you could even a couple weeks ago.

Recipes create great opportunity of controlling economy, why don't you guys use it? I know that the players should be the one that dictate the prices, but that should work only in terms of gear. So summarising, introduce new recipes, or do something to stop this insane exalt value growth.

Which part? The part where someone bought my Glare for an obscenely high price?

Or the part where an exalt is worth 30+ chaos? People are offerring upwards of 60 alchs/fusings for an exalt atm. And 2 alchs/fusings = 1 chaos.

The hardcore economy is in pretty good shape. You could always switch leagues.

prices changing is an indication the markets are in good shape.

I really really hope they *don't* implement an exalt recipe (other than mirror) as there NEEDS to be a valuable, RARE currency to trade high end items with.

If you simply make exalts a common currency like everything else as OP suggests, its going to make trading high end items a problem.

Its not the sellers driving the price up, its the buyers. Just watch trade chat for 5 minutes and you'll see what I mean. 90% of the posts involving exalts are from buyers not sellers, and they all offer more than the last person.
