Exalts price

I'm not sure I understand why exalteds going up in value is a big issue? It's probably because they're in demand because of people trip exalting maps because they have little other need for their currency.

The price of uniques will always have a relationship with the avg. amount of chance/scourings it will take to make. If exalts skyrocket further in value, then the uniques will go down in value relative to exalts. People will just buy the scours/chances and make them instead. Even if the individual seeking the item doesn't, others looking to turn a profit will. Sure people might want "pure exalts" for their uniques but what they ask for/want and what they get is a whole different thing. The lower currency can never skew too far because of the vendor recipes.

Rarely do you ever absolutely need an exalt in this game except for crafting, and if an exalt becomes worth 100 chaos that will only be in extreme situations, because then almost every other situation people will probably have better odds dropping 100 chaos into an item.

Most likely the price if exalts is going up for 1 main reason. People are using them in far larger quantities now the avg level of a default char's main is higher. This is a good thing, people using them and there being less in the market than people need is a good thing. It gives them value. If there are more in circulation than are needed, then they will become worthless.

The nature of the currency being consumable and the market fluctuating is likely a good thing. The currency was made consumable likely to cause this exact kind of situation.

and how many chances take to make unique ? if that is the case, kaoms should be 3 exalt by now, not 30.
A stranger like no otherther,
Faced the wall of the Umbra,

@Yastro
30+ chaos for 1 exalt imo is silly, ill sit on my 300+ and be happy i suppose. Need upgrades but when most of your money is in bulk chaos/gcp and people only want pure exalts its rather frustrating so i just let them rot in my stash or use a few here and there when rolling maps but i refuse to trade 30-40+ of my own chaos for 1 exalt. o wells
I am merely pointing out the flaws in your ideas. You wish for someone ti be able to get an exalted doing x. I say, it's possible to abuse that, which leads to me being able to outbid you, which does nothing. It's a rich get richer scenario. Same with the exalted shard recipe.

I'll just go farm low level uniques. It's possible to get quite a few every hour. Your ideas have flaws. People will abuse those flaws, which leaves you in a worse position than before.

Let me ask you this, why are you so focused on exalts, when their utility is not all that great? Want to know why exalted price is going up? For psychological reasons like you yourself is showing. People covet them for no apparent reason. Their not the rarest orb in the game. And divines are considered more end game than they are.

Enough to make it painful, specifically the cost in scourings and the chance of not getting one even after the avg amount. But that doesn't mean people don't/won't do it (if it takes an avg of 15 ex worth of chances/scours to make a khaoms, and they go for 20, people will do it until the margin is way slimmer). It's also the reason you'll probably never have a problem selling chances or scours. And since chances and scours have vendor recipes, their value can only ever change so much. The difference in price in really good uniques is mostly caused by the base item, whether there are multiple different uniques for that base item, and whether said base item is available from vendors or maps only. Take Taryn's vs. Searing touch as a perfect example.

Honestly, all they have to do to keep low currency (at least chance/scouring, and in turn anything you can trade for chance/scouring) valuable is continue to release worthwhile unique items.
