Exalts price
" Exalts are random anyways. I don't understand what you mean when you say "get anything decent" |

" Well, I suppose this actually depends on whether it's just the Exalts whose value is getting inflated, or the high-level currency. If an item sells for 6 Exalts, and an Exalt is not worth, let's just say, 40 Chaos, then that item becomes more and more expensive. If the Exalt's value goes up and therefore the high-level items sell for *fewer* of them, then it all balances out in the end. By "getting anything decent" I was referring to the ability of a new player to get good gear. by trading for them. There is an argument to be made on the opposite side, though, that there may be so many high-level items in circulation by then that the value of an individual will significantly drop. But then there's *another* argument having to do with possible hoarding by those who have the ability to farm for much longer than anyone else, and the ways in which they might artificially inflate prices... I just meant to say that, if the Exalt's value increases dramatically, and if high-end gear still sells for a similar number of Exalts as before, they will become more and more unavailable to the average player. If, however, prices adjust for the trends, then I'll be more with you, and not seeing why it's so terrible if the value increases. Invited to Beta 2012-03-18 / Supporter since 2012-04-08

Decent gear is dirt cheap. Literally. You can buy nice gear that will.not only let you beat the game, but get into.maps for amazingly low prices.
Only high end gear is sold in exalts. And that's fine. Since many of those who find uber gear, need those exalts. Whether for mapping, or for items. |

" Pretty much this. I can pay next to nothing for a decent upgrade for my characters as and when I need it, and I use mostly self found gear to begin with. The problems with currency now and some points about currency in general 1. hoarding - people need them exalts for high end gear or maps 2. drop rate - they're supposed to be rare for a reason 3. Acceptance of lower currency - yeah right lol, very few people trade for chaos and below nowadays, see below especially 4. Currency stacking - 200 chaos takes a lot of room compared to 10 exalted. 5. People not realising they're in what's essentially a bubble - Supply and demand dictate the prices. 6. You don't really need exalted to buy everything. Just farm for shitty qual gems and vendor them for gcps if you're that desperate. 7. Stop looking for BiS gear as a necessity. Except for the hardest content, you don't really need it that much. 1337 21gn17ur3 Last edited by ExiledToWraeclast#6661 on Apr 3, 2013, 12:57:04 AM

I'd like a vender trade that can give me gcp's and exalts, wall basically i'd like to up exchange lower end currency for upper end currency using venders. Crafting stuff is what drew me to the game and i've come to conclude that it's pretty difficult to find enough resources to do it unless you deal with overvalued trading to get them. Having a defined ratio of what gets what based on what the in-game vender gives i think would be a good thing.

" I'm talking about 5L decent gear, which is needed for a lot of builds. Invited to Beta 2012-03-18 / Supporter since 2012-04-08

if your build NEEDS a 5l.. you might want to seriously rethink your build.
anyone can get into maps on 4l's |

Well, perhaps NEED may be too strong a word ... but I'm not sure about that. If you want to be any good, everyone making any build is using 5L as their main attack combinations.
Freezing Pulse 4L might be a little tricky to pull off, though I'll probably end up trying. Still, it won't be *nearly* as effective as those guys who have a 5-6L to work with. Invited to Beta 2012-03-18 / Supporter since 2012-04-08

" ^ The worse part is the increase in price is not scaling down. people want high rates for exalt to other currency . but when you apply the same scaling they will not agree to it. Domine Non Es Dignus

Exalts are rare, they should be rising in price. Let the economy work itself out. Some currency is rising in value, while others are lowering. Placing more price floors/ceilings on currency isn't going to help anything.
