I've been getting some fairly frequent disconnects also. This doesn't seem like a local network problem. From the information below is it an ISP problem or POE?

I am running the winMTR grabbing the instance address from my log and it telling me "Unable to get raw socket!"
What am I missing? |

you using wireless Connection? if not i cant give some info, but did you checck first if its only the game who "dc" and not your full Connection, will say that the Connection stop works and start again?

I am running a full wired connection...it seems like it is zone specific. Trying to run through Emperial Garden and I get dc'ed every 40-120 seconds. Ran the Library instance and got through the entire map without a DC. Went back out to Imperial Garden DC again.

I figured that I would post here, just to +1 to the amount of people experiencing this issue. I would like to mention that I started to have these connection problems AFTER the announcement from GGG that the vast majority of server stability problems had been resolved and oddly enough, I never had problems before that.
I started playing PoE recently and I am greatly enjoying the game. Recently, though, after patch 1.0.0e (a couple days ago) I started experiencing very frequent lag spikes and disconnects. Prior to that, I was running smoothly with only the occasional disconnect in town. It is now so bad that I cannot pass some areas without a lot of tries. For example, ascending the Ancient Pyramid requires you to pass at least 3 maps to get to Vaal Overseer and some of these instances will expire before you're at the boss, causing you to re-clear if you disconnect. Again, not looking for specific troubleshooting steps here. Just popping in to say: Hey, it's happening to me, too and it's not my fucking connection. |

Same problem: constant "unexpected disconnections" like many other players are reporting on many threads with many posts+views. I HOPE they fix this soon, because it's frustrating to get dc'd every few seconds to few minutes while you are playing a game as fun as this.

Update:
Constant disconnects and lag spikes went away for me after I whined ineffectually in this thread. Thank you Chaos gods. |
