Poe MMO, when?

U guys know exactly what the OP is asking for... an MMORPG in a PoE universe with an persistant world and where u can run around with 100 other ppl outside of player hubs or private parties.

Don't try to ride the "It's an MMO" train, just because he didn't write the whole word.
Neither Warframe or PoE are MMOs. If you don't have persistant world areas with lots of people engaging in separate activities it's not an MMO.

A long time ago Chris explained why it's not a MMO, it was something along the lines of people expecting a WoW clone, this was pre 2010.

I agree it's a MMO.

Massively multiplayer online instanced action roleplay game.

I still remember that games with 4-8 players were mmo's too. Mostly it's just marketing, but Warframe has been a MMO for years even when it had only 4 player coop

The simplest comparison would be an old MUD game which could have a couple hundred people but all those people could go to one text based location in the game at the same time and play.

The mass gathering of players is what defines an MMO and anything else is just a game with a global chat.

Much as the internet and newer generation of gamers want to skew the concept. That's the simplest line in the sand. If a mass of players cannot gather in one location and play the game then it's not an MMO.

Also the only real difference between MMO and MMORPG is the RPG aspect isn't there for instance PlanetSide 2.
