Can you level to 100 without Kitava's death?

I think some of the later people posting may be getting confused.

" So do they consider the Heist mechanic the same as the 'map device' and have the same 10% penalty applied? That would make sense I suppose, but it is odd that it applies while you're still in Acts. |

I would bet money on heist area levels being tied to act area levels for exp loss. Level 44 contracts, no exp loss. Level 51 contracts is 5% exp loss. Id wager that when i hit level 68+(beginner maps area level) contracts that ill start losing 10% exp per contract death.
Damn this is disheartening. |

Yup 10% exp loss at 68+ heists even before act 5 kitava. Definitely not worth losing maps etc for a tradeoff of just resistances lol. Pictures below.

Well, of course TencentGGG would also "proof" by level the dreaded death EXP penalty, I recently tasked myself with dealing with all "Labyrinths" as soon as possible - all were a breeze - and I delved to level 81 without touching Kitava act 5, though I finished "Uber Labyrinth" at 73, and was annoyed to see that a death a delve depth with monsters >68 would auto remove the 10% death EXP penalty...
Annoying to the max, as it seems Delve and Heist can provide a proper alternative to mapping and be proper side quests on your path to reach 100... If only TencentGGG would comprehend that letting us explore alternate content at our own pace without being forced (sulphite dropping only in maps is an unnecessary limit), they should instead focus more on actually keeping us PLAYING the game... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

I don't know if this applies in standard but my highest level character is on HC and I "investigate" the Library, Blood Aquaducts, and The Act 10 Reliquary... and I find Niko and Sulfite on Blood Aquaducts quite regularly so I can delve without killing Kitava Act 10.
It's a nice alternative to leveling up and keeping me playing the game aside from finding a way to not get Bannon killed. |

On my delver in a previous league i got 80 ish without act 5 kitava but decided to get the act 6-act 10 passives from quests as i went deeper , it's sitting at 93 and still hasn't killed act 10 kitava, so yes it is certainly possible to get 100 without killing kitava.
