POE need an automagically item clearing house but not necessary AH. The former just a clearing house for item that have a fixed price and match the sell offer to buy order. The latter is bidding, which i don't think there is a need .

Whether CH or AH, they will lead to the same problem -> Bot Trading

Maybe this is why GGG still want to have human interaction involved per trading instead of fully automated.

No easy way out i guess.

The reason GGG wants trade to be difficult is simple. The game would suck if it were too easy.

already too easy to gear in trade league, if you just want 1c item

With clearing house just means you can trade when offline, which 1c to 10c item will lost value way faster and end up a lot of item left in the trade list without anyone willing to buy

For end game player that want niche end game item, that may be a buff, so that you don't need to wait the player online to buy that item or may be a bad thing which gg item may be snipe by another end game user immediately and people may don't even saw the trade site listing

This game can't thrive on only "endgame players". It has to be fun for a variety of players. Making trade easy would ruin the game for many of the supporting players.

They could vastly improve trade. They just couldn't make it easy. I think adding hellgate: London's email system would go a long way to help.

For GGG i am really certain even they implant it, one player may be only list 10 items. Otherwise end game player will undercut all casual player and flood the market with his loot. And also GGG, would just ask people to P2W to increase the limit

BTW i have 60 tab in my stash. Just i don't play the game full time and cannot flood the market with 60 pages of gg items....

Since trading is a pain in the ass this league because you can't really hop out of a heist so the default is you get 1 reply of 10 whispers. If you want to buy something fast then you whisper sellers as fast as you can and accept the first invite. It's rude to the others but it's effective.

If you ever use /whois

you will surprise yourself page 1-3 of the item listing, how many are actually hideout afker that don't reply

Some of them are afking, others are just fed up with replying "sold sorry". I frequently get whispers for items I've sold like 20 minutes earlier. The trading API is still lagging behind...
if they use poe.trade , then it must be lagging.

Official site may be better in term of lag and refresh the listing

Usually after i bought the item, the item already gone from the listing. (Sometimes i bought more than 1 same items )

I can understand if seller not responding to buyer.

Now as a seller after I received the buyer request and immediately invite to hideout, then no more response from buyer. Whisper them also no response.

I only started trading (selling) today and have made successful selling in first few hours. Only now i start to get all these weird no-response requests continuously.

Here's my selling flow after someone whisper me to buy:
1. Invite to hideout.
2. After buyer come in, right-click the buyer's name and click 'trade'.
3. Put the item buyer wants and check the price i want. Then click 'accept'.
4. greet them farewell and kick them.

I used /dnd while doing maps and turn-off after back in hideout, so usually i can respond immediately.

I wonder there's problem lies in my flow or is there a bug somewhere in the whisper system now?

Majority of sellers don't respond to low value trades if they are busy, so buyers just whisper X amount of people until someone responds. There are so many things now in-game that doesn't allow to come back to HO or even quickly reply to ask for 1min. And heist just added another one on top.
The problem for me as a buyer is this:

Search for whatever you need on poe trade site.
PM the first person and wait a minute - no response.
PM the second person and wait a minute - no response.
PM the third, fourth and fifth person and wait a minute - most likely no response.
Start mass PM'ing 10 persons at a time, until someone answers.
Accept the first trade that pops up, and ignore if anyone else answers (I already spend 5-10 minutes trying to PM 30 people)

Thats pretty much how it always work. Trading is so tedious.

We already have trade bots, so that shouldn't be an argument. They could simply add a captcha on the in-game AH/CH/market/whatever UI which would eliminate botting.
