In my opinion, GGG is not doing anything to prevent scams in PoE,
If its otherwise they should at least show us number of players that were banned because of scams.
And here we witness ambient sound of nothingless.
And there is only one answer for that, they are doing nothing with that.

How can you blame everyone but yourself. You did not check what you buy, you did not check properties and stats of the item. Only you, and you alone made this mistake.

You cannot blame GGG for this, if you do wanna blame someone blame yourself, so suck it up.

you are joking right.. name one game that has/had online trading and no scammers and a healthy player-base.

Im not expecting to get anything back, I'm just furius that GGG - support or whomever, dont do anything to prevent that.

That was my second email after they send me template "that they will observe",
In first I described time nick and whole situation.

Maybe you dont know but almost every game keep their logs at their servers, so sending log isnt necessary - they do have them, there is question like here if they are using them ever?

Back to the topic,

If they would do their job, no one would risk doing scams in this game if they could lose an account.

But how many ppl was scamed by guy who placed his offer 1 week ago?
How many proofs do they need, month year? or more ? Or maybe that only thing they are doing just sending msgs that they will observe, because scamming in POE is daily basis.

If there would be any policy of blocking accounts I bet that 5 years ago we would finish with scammers here.

Maybe they should add an option called "Triple Trade Hover Protection 5000". If enabled, any trade you do, you have to hover over (mouse out and in) 3 times.

But maybe they should add, some "estimated price" vs "your price" or something the end of the trade, and make some alert. That would be helpful. If some red sign come on center of screen, "you are overpaying by 17 exalts!"

Most games since 20+ years have a simple trade confirmation screen before trade proceeds, both players get a screen that says "you are trading XYZ for ABC" then they have to click "accept" to proceed with the trade, this simple and obvious system prevents at least 99% of bait and switch scams. Poe system is essentially the same as not having any final confirmation for the trade. Did you ever notice how when you purchase something online there is a final confirmation screen that details the terms of the purchase?? These are just basic concepts of online trading both in game and IRL and it requires imo some degree of intentional choice to not implement simple standard concepts like this in an online trade system.

If you barter with someone in real life and they do a scam like happens in game, for example you think you are buying gold but they sell you fake gold, guess what: they are liable for both criminal and civil penalties. That means you can sue them and you can also report them to the police or other criminal authorities. The victim is not to blame, "buyer beware" does not apply in situations of intentional deceit. For people here to say victim is to blame in cases of obvious intentional scamming is just pathetic.
Temper tantrums and 3 pages of people getting pissy over something that could of been prevented by taking 2 seconds to look at the item before you accept a trade.

You're not looking for GGG to fix this, you're looking for justice and someone to blame for your own mistake. Own it and learn from it.

The scammer is in the wrong for trying to scam you. You're in the wrong for blindly not reviewing the item before accepting the trade.
taking 2 seconds to look at the item before you accept a trade.....

That POE player IQ....
weird. i've never been "scammed" in poe item trades. maybe it's somehow related to the fact that i can read and take the time to check the item. multiple times if necessary due to cancelled/interrupted trades.
