You were slain! Awesome! But by what, exactly?
More than 20 years ago Diablo II managed to display what killed you.
You can take for granted that GGG doesnt want this feature otherwise it would have been implemented since beta. |

They don't want this because the game is a mess. Some reported damage
would make no sense. Because a lot of deaths that happen to builds that are realy tanky (sound builds) make no sense. They happen because of bugs. Effects or mods buffing damage sometimes in a circular way when they shouldn't. As it happend with the jewels, things that are hard to spot in the mess that the code of the game is after so many things being added league after league. " I see a lot of random people post this. Mind hooking a brother up with that source code so I can study it? As a student dev, I know I could learn a ton from it. Thanks. There are two types of POE players:
1) Those who want to walk uphill both ways barefoot on broken glass wearing a blindfold 2) F*cking noobs I identify as transnational Chinese. May I have access to their QOL features, please? |

" Good one. It's not like a death log is a new request, it's been asked for year after year and appears pretty frequently in feedback. If GGG had any real intention whatsoever to add it into the game, they would've already communicated it to the community. Whatever they say is just lip service or a personal stance, not the company's. |

" Diablo 2 had this. It said: Player was slain by quillrat. Hopefully this is in Poe 2. And a little more info than that. " Someone else remembers this :) You raise a good point. If they wanted to do this they would have likely done it already. I still hope it's coming in Poe2. Last edited by kompaniet#2874 on Apr 17, 2020, 9:33:09 AM

iTs toO CoMpLiCaTeD!11!!!!
yeah with shitton of extra, increased, more and added damage, damage conversion, reduction mitigation and so on I bet they lost track of what they doing some time ago of course we neither get a recap of what killed is, nor we would see any precise tool to see what our damage actually does |

They honestly couldn't give you one right now I bet...
Half a second of an average map battle log would read like this: White mob hit for 500 White mob hit for 501 White mob hit for 498 White mob hit for 367 White mob hit for 902 White mob hit for 601 White mob hit for 804 White mob hit for 320 White mob hit for 910 White mob hit for 206 White mob hit for 350 White mob hit for 703 White mob hit for 390 White mob hit for 420 White mob hit for 507 White mob hit for 642 White mob hit for 490 White mob hit for 358 With the current dogpile mechanics that's about as useful as they could give you, the real log would be 50 pages of that and take up half their server memory to keep. |

Aye it would be very godo to know what killed you so you know what to fix. And also I wish it was a toggle to log the dmg in and out to a txt file
