I'm not surprised so few people are playing Stormbind, it's a strange skill, unintuitive & awkward. I don't think I've played something that can feel awesome one moment then total shit the next.

Woolfio has given it a shot, and liked it - https://youtu.be/QIPkhpj0keE and https://youtu.be/fiDrUSzEpEc

Thread says "3.10 Has Greater Class/Ascendancy Variety Than Any League In Recent Memory!" That's still true. So yes, it has.

21% Guardian followed by 12% Assasin xD

Yeah, in trade league.. where there's a single OP build that's super tanky while having great DPS.

If you look at SSF leagues you see 2% Guardians.

SSF-SC
15% Necro
12% Trickster
12% Gladiator
12% Hiero
8% Champion

SSF-HC
17% Gladiator
15% Necro
15% Hiero
10% Trickster
10% Champion

Game isn't balanced around softcore trade alone

Yes it is :p

Player numbers in SSF are just a series of preferences and whatever works best with least, Gladiator feels so good for this league mechanic i'm surprised they aren't top of both!
This thread didn't age well

Oh look herald stacking is a somewhat viable build

40% of playerbase guardians after guardian nerf

So there is 1 viable build right now

Wow build diversity in this game is so amazing

Might as well delete the passive tree and the ascendancy classes at this point

There is 1 popular build right now. Just cos something is popular doesn't mean it's the only viable option. Other builds still function, that one is just overpowered.

Anyway, yes the thread didn't age well. However, the fact that the consensus on what's OP has so clearly zeroed in on just 1 archetype means it'd be fairly easy for GGG to fix this next patch - just nerf that mechanic. It'd be a lot more worrisome if there were a whole slew of broken elements, rather than just 1 or 2 (if you include the Warcry nodes). Before everyone realized the power of Herald stacking, the league was pretty balanced, which means the only major thing GGG needs to do to return to that state is end the dominance of said Herald stacking. And also fortunately, the mechanic is so obviously broken that everyone already expects them to nerf it into oblivion next patch.

And what would it change? People will alwasy blindly follow meta. DOesntm atter if you add 10 classes to the game or 200, soem still will be meta and played by 40% of playerbase (See ArcheAge for example. 200 or close to 300 classes, 30% of people playing Darkrunner)
