How "honest" do you feel the RNG in POE actually is?

I really hope this was meant to be a troll. I've bought...$2,000 worth of MTX/supporter packs or so. My first (and only) mirror drop was BEFORE I spent a dime (okay, maybe I'd bought a couple tabs).

I bought the newest $480 pack, and guess what? Drops have been excruciatingly bad this league for me.

That bit of reasoning assumes that we each get our own instanced random number generator rather than one that is spitting out numbers to a multitude of clients.

With the one to many clients setup even using the same seed would not be an issue because there's no chance you would be fed the same terms of the sequence as they get spit out to resolve a multitude of different decisions across a multitude of clients.

i think that the streamers like ziggyd, ziz, mathil etc,
get better drops (like mirrors) because they play a lot more than the average people.

every once in a while, i take a day off from work, and play for almost the whole day. my drops on that day are better than a month of regular playing.
not because GGG or tencent manipulate the rates, but because POE is a game of numbers (heard this sentence from a youtuber) - play a lot, get better loot.

I'm open for a lot of debates and discussions about RNG, randomness and probability. Hell, discussions like that can even be interesting and productive, with people actually learning something new. But when threads and post smell too much of "feels" and "seems", no good discussion can emerge. Anyhow...

Some people are helplessly "sure" of the "fact" that GGG screws with the drop rates "all the time". Some of them are even "sure" that GGG screws with the drop rates of individuals. And when they experience something they, personally, deem "too unluch to possibly explaing with probability", They blame GGG.

On the other side, we have the "RNG is ALWAYS RNG", thinking JUST about probability and randomness, always referring to statistics and spread sheets, afraid of the idea that someone can actually alter anything in Wraeclast.

The truth is of course somewhere in between. We know based on quotes that GGG twaeks drop rates throughout the league. But we also know that the human mind bases a lot of its calculations on feelings, wishes and the guy next to you. But we also know that long, dark, ugly "bad streaks" CAN and WILL happen, without the "help" of GGG.

I once dropped three exalts in one map. The chance of that is (probably) smaller than going a whole league without a single one, but no one is "blaming" GGG when shit like that happens, or "thanks GGG for tweaking their drops". But when the tables are turned, we get threads like this straight away.

Read up on "The law of large numbers", and then do your statistics.

Honestly every time I get bored or desesperate and I'm about to quit, there is an exalt that drop lol

there is 3 lie in this game
