"Enemies have -x% to Total Physical Damage Reduction against your Hits" sounds way too clunky.
@sidtherat : Then we'd need to know how many armour they have, to get a rough estimation of how many "-%phys reduction" we need.

from pre patch notes: top values are ~24k but these are supposed to be rare cases
damage reduction depends STRONGLY on single hit damage. blade flurry 10k hits are reduced heavily while 500k EQ crit slams dont care. the only way to know for sure is to simply test stuff in practice. and dont overthink it - you cannot take more than 2 nodes (and maybe one anointment) in any realistic build anyway. getting more crit is always the best option |

" You're right. I'm desesperately trying to kill Aul with my Blade Flurry Assassin. But he just has too much life. If I can remove 25% of his HP, I'm already happy. So I wanted to know if working on "-% phys reduction" would be a solution. I have tried recently with a total of -45% : on the tree, two small dagger nodes (10), Master of Force (5) and Kinetic Impacts (15) + a Hunter belt with -15. But that was still not enough. So the pb is his life pool, not armour. I honestly can not imagine this affix to have huge effect on total damage done by physical since this was not mentioned much. It was just added into the game without a big fanfare.
You can only evaluate how effective this affix is once you know whether monsters have native physical damage reduction or whether they only obtain such stat from armor or endurance charges. I can not see this stat to be very valuable unless monsters have native physical damage reduction because we already know armor does not play big role in mitigating physical damage. This could be useful on maps with mods that allow monsters to generate endurance charges or mods that give monsters straight physical damage reduction stat. |

" Well if you add the -phys reduction against impale hits adds up to 50 so i think you need 50 for attacks aswell unless its a lower requirement. the problem is that it doesnt show up on pob and ggg havent really explained the mechanic it might be worth just spending more points on crit/multi i dno |
