Natho's HP/IIQ/IIR Summoner Build for Solo Endgame Maps Updated

So does stacking IIR and IIQ on your arc spell work when your minions kill? Is it so long as you attack the mob it will be affected by IIR and IIQ?

Or do you have to stack IIR and IIQ on the summon zombie/spectre gems?

You can think that "summoning minion" is a spell that ultimately kills monsters. Thus IIR and IIQ works if you link it with your minion summoning gem(that type of minion has the get the last hit, of course).

Thanks for the guide, I restarted my Witch to follow this line, as my previous one was my first character and I was all over the place with skills and such. Now I just have to get caught up to my friends at level 30. ;)

We just started playing last week, and I've been doing some reading when I have downtime at work. Learned a lot so far.
Hey, I wanted to make a MF Char and I found your build. Thank you very much :)

I have 1 little question. Did you kill all the bandits?
FYI concentrated effect is a blast with flame sentinels

Sorry man, but I'm having a hard time believing you're soloing 75's with this build and gear.. props to you if you are tho.

You make that sound like a lot. But sure, I don't doubt he survives. But he has his spectres 3 linked. I don't see the point in even bringing them in, unless you grab new ones while in the map, since they're bound to die asap.
I agree with shadowbeast82, chances he is doing anything above 71 with this spec and gear, and in some normal map-clearing time of like 10 minutes per map (not 30+ mins per map).. well, I'm not going there. There are just too many gaps in pretty much all aspects of that guide.

I paused my summoner due to creating another all-out-MF-goddess which I am testing now. However, if you are looking for some quick guidelines, find my topics in this thread:

There are some tips on gearing, passives and what to prioritize. To achieve decent clearing time on higher level maps in full MF gear, you require at least 3 six-linked spectres (to be able to socket 20% quality IIR and IIQ), preferably four. I advise going four spectres and focus remaining points on survivability.

Shock stacking will not work unless you obtain two very good wands or an amazing shield, due to not being able to invest a lot of points into spell damage passives. Overall, its not worth it because one extra spectre will deliver a lot more then your shock stacking, while allowing you to dodge everything and stay alive.

On higher level maps (alched, chaosed for top mods) you will want detrimental mods like haste, temporal chains and similar alongside standard beneficial ones, meaning standing still and spamming arc/spark will put you in a lot of risk, often ending in near-death experiences.

As a four spectre summoner, you can completely avoid gearing for chaos res, maybe only if you are a snail in HC. You will never be in any danger from even the worst chaos damage dealing mobs in higher level maps, due to never having to stand still and the ability to move around the corner while your spectres finish the job.

Due to nature and stupidity of your pets, you will require one or preferably two quicksilver flasks for executing manoevers, especially in tight corridor maps like the tunnel. For example, running past a difficult pack to spawn all your pets straight on top of them, or gathering multiple packs on open maps, positioning yourself in the middle and get drowned in loot.

Tl;dr..

Summoners are very enjoyable to play solo up to around 74/75 level maps, due to bosses and most mobs not really posing much of a problem to either your minions or yourself. However, top level maps can be a real chore, often so difficult/impossible making you want to break something after getting your whole army one-shotted in less then a second, over and over again.

Large downside tho, one-two friends groups are fine most of the time, full groups for endgame maps are sadly not an option.
