About scaming (in general) -no names-

I just reddit this today (hope is not against "FEFDERAL GOVERNMENT laws")

I'm a dev looking for a fun side project to make. The idea is as you're browsing poe.trade, a little icon will pop up next to a traders name that says ban? If you hit ban, you can type a reason. If you're browsing poe.trade and that user's item pops up, you will see BANNED next to the users name and your reason.

6-link scam - YES - VERY SCAM

Underpay scam - YES - SCAM

Overprice scam - NEVER - MY PRICE WILL ALWAYS BE MY CHOICE - this is oposite of scamming - if i decide to price my portal scroll at 1 mirror - that's entirely my decision. Very very far from being scam

Wrong item scam - YES - VERY SCAM

Haggle during trade - dunnow what this is suppose to mean

SO.SLOW. - This is something that is worth banning ? Maybe i am in 5 ways - and cannot get myself during the 3mins left to tell him to wait, or inv him in party to wait....i think this is just inventing reasons for something i will say after theese reasons here.

Price fixer - ABSOLUTLEY WRONG ! PARALEL TO SCAMMING ! it's in the name if u can read "FIXER"....what does FIXING mean ? it means to take something BROKEN and bring it back to its optimal and corect state.
Let's say 10 people who live in the game every second (and off it for sure) decide to put 5 ex price to the same item, so meaning at least 10 if not more of the same item, when it's worth 50c.
BUT - u cant prove they are in it together...so yeah. We all know that they are, and have their bots online just to scam people with wrong prices (which is very different from price fixing and overpricing)

If one person overprices 1 single item - that is normal. But if 10-20 accounts have same item over priced...hmmm...i think they pretty much know eachother more or less....
So about pricing items - u cant do anything about it, except keep ur eyes open and check all trade sites.

Asking for more than listed price - that is not a scam, thats changing his mind, probably cause he priced it at 2 ex without checking the current day's price of that item, then in the next 5mins after that he gets 5pm for the item....ofc he's gonna check why would it sell so fast....and maybe see he priced it wrong - so he will ask the market price for it....its not scamming...it might be auto-scamming for the seller until he realises.

Rude - this is subjecitv, obiectiv and relative for every player....

I think that this can only turn out to be a very very ez and good way for the actual scammers to get together and ban the people who are actually fair...cause let's be honest...there are more bots on the trade site than people. period.

The easiest way would be as following :

GGG starts paying attention to the players that SUPPORT their game every league or even more often....and make a section on forum for reporting scam issues.

It will always have to be accompanied by VIDEO PROOF - no screenshot/photo/text will every prove anything.

After that - if it is obvious 100% that the person accused of scamming, is actually scamming, he should get BANNED IP forever. FOREVER. period.

U mean to tell me it's a mistake u put in trade inv 5 times level 3 enlighten instead of lvl 4....come on...be more....HUMAN.

Lack of any kind of blowback for scamming and outright protection for scammers on GGG's part also encourage scamming. PERIOD.

at this point , NO system can prevent stupidity.

In seven years of poe someone finally tried to scam me this league, the old 4L+2L instead of 6L.
Chuckled and finally felt included in the club.

BUT

If i am streaming, and PM the seller that i want to buy lvl 4 empower, and i record while he puts the same lvl 3 gem, after maybe pm him again with same lvl 4 msg, dunno what more people want...thats an obvious scammer...like the 4+2 instead of 6link....

They can have that excuse..."srry i had it next to my 6link, was mistake" - if he says that, even if u know its a lie....theres nothing u can do about it...

BUT 5-6 times...same thing....come on..pls be more serious...

If u have video proof of people doing that - they should get perma IP ban. PERIOD.

Or, read the text in the item window before hitting "Accept". Seems like a foolproof system to me...

Oh and yeah - eyes open on scarabs - for some hidden logical reason - some of them...look 90% the same....and if u dont look carefully u can get Reliquary instead of Bestiary betwen those 2 there is practicly 5% difference...can u spot it ?

I can spot it, they both have different names, the names that pop up when you're forced to hover over the item before you can accept the trade.
