Paying for Inventory Stash = P2W

The thing about P2W is that everyone has their own personal definition of what exactly constitutes the 'win' part. :)

Personally I'm absolutely fine with stash tabs - hell, I'd even be fine with increased inventory space, even though that confers a much more significant advantage. If they start selling XP boosts, magic find boosts and the like, however, then I'm out of here.
What have you become when even nightmares fear you?
So, new animations for your characters are P2W too, because you can surprise enemies in pvp!
Seriously guys? Everyone can multibox and mule, at least right now there aren't any IP address regulations. And almost anything given can have a sorts of impact in gameplay. If I buy a kiwi now, I probably can trade my account later on for huge ammounts of good items. That's P2W! Please stop nitpicking and acknowledge what GGG is doing. There aren't even XP boosts, or anything of the sorts.
I'd always thought it was rather obvious that GGG would be selling stash space. Plenty of the F2P MMO's do it, and much of the orb scaling recipes require hoarding, which is a design choice to focus some part of the player experience on inventory management.

As to whether it's an undue benefit, as Chris points out, if you;re a ladder runner, time spent in town, is time not killing things, which is contrary to that. Inventory management is often for the tumbledown gear that goes to alts, or the micro-management of crafting, which for PoE is orb recipes. And how much you want to go in for that is your game choice.

For me, I've been mostly concerned about not being clear on how they will recoup there investment in developing the game, as if they can;t do that, we won;t have a game server to play on. So anything that lets people play in the style they want, without directly impacting the kill rate, seems to make sense to me.

For me, stash tabs are something I would be interested in buying, but emotes and gfx flourishes are things I'm less interested in. And I'd rather have them selling useful but not game changing stuff, as I'd feel that people would be more inclined to purchase!

I, like many others here I suspect, was playing D2 many years ago, with multiple accounts just to manage item storage and character slot limits. This seems like a much better way to do it.
feign, from www.theamazonbasin.com
can't type for toffee.
The fact that extra stash space can be conisdered P2W is IMO the real problem here.

Collecting and storing loads of trash items just for the vendor recipies is not fun or interesting.

Bingo. The "two/three rares of the same name" recipes should just go away. They encourage unhealthy levels of hoarding and muling and slow the game down.
This recipes are part of the "problem", but not the only: if you go this way, what about all that uniques? Is it so hard to imagine, that people will try to catch them all? I dont think so, and since they will wide exceed all storage limits, lets get rid of them... ^^

In my opinion, its a borderline decision, but its an option I see (like the devs too) as to give only a small decreasing effort in item management, for this reasons:

-you are free to make further accounts to increase your storage possibilities instead of buying tabs.
(yes, this involves some additional interactions, but at least when you are able to "trade" over the website, its not demanding multiple pc's or other high efforts)

-only people who make intensive "use" of the game, will have "problems" with the available stash; and these ones should have no problem to handle the effort on switching accounts.

It's completely unrealistic to assume multiple free accounts could achieve this.

Would you do what I already addressed? let me repeat:

How many f2p players are going to make two accounts, set them up on two computers, and go through both accounts to sort recipes on their 4 tabs each? And do this every time they get more items and need more accounts? This is incredibly unrealistic and won't happen for many reasons by a majority.
Right-click on a character in town. Notice the grayed-out option to send them mail. Now, think of how easy it will be to simply mail items to your other account, or how easy it will be to use the forum trade feature to give items to your other account. No second computer or dual-boxing required.

Maybe for you. Not everyone has the opinion.

Can't wait for that.

This I can agree with. I found these recipes silly as soon as I heard of them.

Same, if they ever say something about adding things like that i would uninstall the game right away. Stash space doesnt change how your character behaves so im fine with that. A cool feature.
