Bliztard is getting a fat round 0 amount of my money.
Once they stop being Activi$ions bitch, we can talk about it, but as long as they're bending over for Bobby Kottick, no thanks.
And don't get me started on the decline of their games.
Once so fantastic and proud, they're now mainstream dumb-it-down developers.
Ok.. well it's good to see a few of you have the same dilemma as me when it comes to choosing one or the other,
a lot of you say you will play both but i really cant do that personally i like to put everything into one game when it comes to this hack n' slash genera then someone mention d2 hacking.
So i think we should bring this into the debate, Hacking in d2 ruined the game, it basically killed online play for me, I'm not sure if they cleaned up battle net but i quit after it became a hack fest. The new battle net will be mostly hack proof i imagine which leads me to next question.
How long will it be before people bring out trainers for PoE after release, being a free game how will they stop this? i hope the dev's are able to combat this or will it just go down the same hack fest road d2 did. I haven't been able to find anything on the forums about this i guess it's still early days but nether the less this will have a big impact on my decision.

To answer original question and this one:
So I would choose PoE, even if it is still under construction, maybe will try D3 free server. Why?
Because it depends on what is it you want. If you want really catchy, nice, perfect, easy, and solid game, maybe you should go for D3. If you want some of that D2 feeling, hoarding, thinking, dying from forgetting about your flask, free to play game, choose PoE. Just because everything late I play(FPS, RPG, etc etc), I play on high difficulty, and after dying 100-200 times, there is just nothing to challenge, and for me, feeling, challenge, and story is more important that everything else. About trainers and so on. Even if this game is free to play, judging on what was at open beta, path that devs are taking, and that there will be microtransactions for non-power things, like expanding inventory, which I will definitely use, means that this game will be supported, not abandoned by creators, and so it is logical that they will take care of anything that is crushing economy of a game.

Easy? See this is why I hate some of you people who apparently choose POE over D3, you don't actually know anything about D3. D3 will be a very very tough game, you'd know that if you actually followed it's developments. Also you say story is one of the most important aspects to you, and you still choose POE?
This seems very contradicting.

I do not think that saying "you people" is really polite. Since I am an individual, and had said nothing about including myself in any group. I followed its developments as a regular guy, who just surfed www, with no intention to spend extra money, and I have a great love for Blizzard, and D series. I do not have knowledge of what will D3 become, and I think only devs have. Yes, I do say story is important for me, as 2 other things I mentioned. However, in this type of game, story is not most important part for me, even if still quite viable. Anyway story in D1 and D2, is told by setting, gameplay and design mostly. If you feel that my opinion is different from yours, please be tolerant, and express your opinion, in gentelmen-like manner.

To really hate someone, you should be careful to hate more than just one aspect of them. Hate what they do, certainly, but it's a bit excessive to say 'I HATE YOU' when what you really mean is "I HATE WHAT YOU'RE DOING." It's like saying someone's always an idiot. Not always. But always, someone is doing something idiotic. In any given moment, someone is an idiot. But not all moments. The someone changes. Sometimes it will be you. Sometimes it will be me.
Keep that in mind next time you call someone an idiot...and then call them an idiot anyway, because they're probably being one *in that moment*. :)
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
