I vote for PoE as well, it's cheaper for a start, but also because having looked at the classes available in D3, they don't offer the same level of customisation (and thus replay ability) that you have in PoE. The skill tree that's available to us in PoE is ginormous (is that a word?).

Yes d3 offers runes being spoon fed every few levels to add bonuses to ability's with the same similar WoW skill tree layout that's going to get nerfed you know it..
so you have customization once you unlock it all at 60.

PoE has a ginormous penis/skill tree with many different specs to go with the ability/gems you receive that no doubt will create more customization and character specs then final fantasy, diablo 2, titan quest and Wow (with out pants)

ps. D3 cost 80$ in Australia.

Why dont u guys download Mooege and try out D3 yourself. You will see why the game is dumbed down. Its almost fully server emulated and the game is still in beta. No need to buy it, there will immediately be private servers.

Judging by how both games are so far, I would choose PoE, but to be honest, there's a long list of games that I would choose over Diablo 3.

Id like to do both seeing as how they are both awesome. Poe will be free so its not like ill be losing money lol.

Pretty much this. For all the naysaying and Blizzard hating, most people here will buy Diablo 3.

Whether or not PoE or Diablo 3 is the better game is irrelevant, cause they are both in beta; but if D3 really was crap like many vehemently contend, then they would stop talking about it. Why? Because people don't talk about crappy games. That's a simple fact.

I bet the entire PoE dev team will buy Diablo 3 and play it. And I also bet most if not all of the Diablo 3 Dev team will play PoE at one point or another. Guess what? There's nothing wrong with that.

So many people in the gaming community subscribe to this strange sense of absolutism. ITS EITHER THIS GAME OR THAT! GOD FORBID IF I EVER ENJOY BOTH! It just shows an ignorant and sheltered view of reality.

I'll be playing both, of course. Why not? More than likely I will probably play Torchlight, Grim Dawn, and Guild Wars 2 as well if I have the time.

The fact is... they will both (hopefully) be good games in their own right. They are both different enough from each other. I share a lot of the same concerns about D3 as others, and I am also a Blizzard hater. If it wasn't Diablo (whether you consider it worthy of the title name or not) I would not be buying it. Diablo 3 and its expansions are the last chunks of money Activision is every getting from me.

After all.. I have been waiting 12 years or so for Diablo 3. I played both D1 and D2 on their first release dates, and I will do the same with D3. I can complain about Diablo all I want.. but it really comes down to the fact that nobody has played the full game yet and none of us can really judge it until we do.

That being said.. PoE is badass. I can't wait for the Cut-Throat softcore/hardcore leagues. I'm also donating to get a Beta Key the second it comes up. I would donate even if I got nothing. I support these devs and this game fully. Thank you for making a game we have all been waiting forever for. We are in your debt.

Both. POE is free so why not? I don't understand why people act like you HAVE to choose one or the other.
