GGG the new Blizzard North ?
" I don't mind once so ever about selling more bag space. Cause that is something i would like to see anyways. This is what i wanted to hear, thank you Chris. |

" Yeah, please don't do what some f2p games do when it comes to storage/inventory size. I've found a lot of them utterly screw people who don't buy extensions and even people who do often have to buy more because the increase is barely a full row. I'm all for purchasing more slots though(I'm a loot whore). " Awesome news, I was actually wondering about this the other day. Cheers. |

From what I've seen GGG has made an awesome game, cant wait to see the fully finished game. The team behind the game is amazing at what they do.

" A million times THIS! I'm sure D2 still sells well. :< YOUはSHOCK!

I don't know, falling under Blizzard/Activision might change how they interact with the player base.

When Blizzard made their first games they were a small company living out of a basement, more or less.
They were going against the giants of the gaming industry. Therefore I'm sure that smaller companies can make greater games than big companies, there's no reason why POE can't be better than Diablo 3 for example. It just needs that extra edge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ci_JrZOGKWw

Yea, its just that bigger companies have way more resources. But yea does not mean little companies cant make very fun games. For instance i have loved terraria and minecraft as of late.

" Nobody compares GGG to Blizzard. Blizzard North is a quite different story here. " It's ok. Sorry if I overinterpreted something. " As a side note, in one of the recent interviews Max Schaefer revealed that their D3 version was going to be MMO with perpetual world. It was all ruined in 2003 because of a conflict with Vivendi (the Blizzard owner) when most key people behind the genre left. Imagine D3 could be where WoW is now. It is important not to confuse it with the second attempt to make the game which was done in 2003 - 2005 (some leaked screenshots of that version are available on the net) by the remaining BN members + new employees. What's more interesting the old BN team was also working on the next D2 expansion - "Diablo 2: Salvation" which was then cancelled because so many key people had left. I'm sure some more interesting stories will emerge soon as David Craddock is in the process of writing a book about Blizzard North/Condor history. Well the main difference I see here is GGG is producing but still keeping the gamer based involved. Blizz is soooo secretive and just does what they do regardless of feedback received. If GGG keeps this mentality they will retain and draw in a lot of players. As Blizz has turned away a few players over the years including me lately.
