GGG the new Blizzard North ?

For being the new blizzard north , GGG must change the looking of website asap. It looks like webpage of a 10 years old game. Compare this to diablo 3 website, that tyrael animation is very cool alone. When people enter the website for the first time they should be excited about the game. I must say that after watching the video of this game at another game news site and when i enter the website of poe for the first time , it was like omg this website is crap. If i didn't watch the movie at another website probably i should close website after checking 1-2 sections.

It looks you are not familiar with Blizzard North history. This was a branch of Blizzard which was closed in 2005. Please check Wikipedia for more details. Diablo 3 is entirely a product of Blizzard Irvine.

Also, I don't agree PoE website look is bad. It is very neat and I don't need any flash animations to appeciate this game. As a web designer I can tell you it hes some advanced mechanisms which you don't find on many sites (eg. custom text fonts, linking items directly from the game, beta counter).

Technically Runic Games would be the new Blizzard North, but I have no qualms about having a second contender for that title.

You are right. What I meant is GGG as the new underdog company making dark-gothic ARPG with the same passion Blizzard North had long ago.

Runic, with its experienced crew, has definitely much potential to make something great but at this time they are busy with Torchlight 1/2/mmorpg and I just don'like this kind of art style. I wish them all the best, though, and come back to the origins, that this D1/2 games style.
it's an ironic phenomenon, but the less money a developer has for its game, the better the actual game is.

I've seen it happen So many times now. Developers turn succesfull, totally abbandon their feel with the user base & boarding the cash grabbing bandwagon.
Aka, activision, Ea, Bethesda, Bioware (from Baldurs Gate to the DLC ridden, copy paste king: Dragon Age II), imo even Blizzard now with their RMAH and whatnot.

The richer they get, the more additional money milking mechanics are introduced in their game and the lower the quality of the game in general.

In that respect, i am glad GGG is still indie. Harshly put, but nonetheless with all sincere respect, indie developers are somewhat bound to customer satisfaction to survive on the copy paste, mainstream market. ULtimately, that is only positive for us.

Somewhere along the line, i just grew tired of being treated as mentally challanged toddler by "triple AAA" developers with their constant simplifying and money draining.

May Path of Exile succed in all its glory
While I love what I see here, PoE looks great for what it is.. But I wont lie to myself.Diablo is and will be behemoth. Down in the road it will be again benchmark of all current and upcomming ARPGs..People will just love it.

Maybe Diablo 3 isn't true sequel to Diablo 2..but Diablo 2 wasn't true sequel to Diablo 1. And still Diablo 2 became a legend. Diablo 3 will be too.
GGG the new Blizzard North? :) We shall see after the game release, too early to say, to be honest. Anyway, let's just hope they will end up better than Blizz North...
I'm going to laugh then cry if their shops starts selling exp/loot buff potions and increases in stash size.

It won't.
My little tribute to Diablo 1 aka why Diablo 3 is the worst part of the series.

Oh yes they will, just watch. They're just looking to increase the player base enough so that they'll retain most users when they start to roll out the "optional" magic find pots which isn't selling power or so they will say.
