gayest thread ever. Cya at D3 launch!

no you won't. D3 isn't really Diablo 3 at all. Its a new game with the same name. I'm not will to pay for a game I have to be online to play for even the single player version. Add that to no Skill tree, no Attribute points and all spells skills tied to toons lvl, a pay auction house and the pg 13 atmosphere its a no brainer. I'm sure D3 will be a great success for blizzard. I just think the crowd that loved the series ( D I and II ) will not be please, while the instant satisfaction kids will love it.

I have been waiting for Path of Exile months now, and for me this is much more interesting than Diablo 3.

Many old school Diablo fans feel this way. While D3 is technically undoubtedly more advanced game it sort of lacks that old feel known from D1/D2. Blizzard changed the game spirit so much and made it more appealing to younger players. No wonder the old veterans feel disappointed with all these changes.

This is where PoE may impact the market. This game has almost everything loved in the old Diablo games + much more! I'm sure the overall response will be very positive as many many players still love dark-gothic themes (as opposed to flashy & cute directions found in many other similar games).

Seriously. WTF. D2 veterans hate Diablo 3? A buddy of mine from work still works the JSP system. He's probably as hardcore as they come. He's excited for Diablo 3 because he can make some money. You think the veterans liked Diablo 2 because of the looks? LOLOLOLOLOL. All the veterans bartered with each other for the best of the best. Stop making stupid things up because if JSP likes Diblo 3 then the veterans love Diablo 3.

I wouldn't call them the new Blizzard North because I feel it discredits them for their own authentic work. Also, GGG seems to be a lot more transparent with what they're trying to accomplish (for example, Blizzard would never think to allow live streaming of their beta tests, regardless of whether a tester got permission) and closer with their fan base than Blizzard ever was: before or after Blizzard North had been disbanded.

I feel they're building upon what Diablo and games like it have accomplished, and putting their own spin on things; which is what any truly innovative developer does within a pre-existing genre.

Dude. Wtf. Really? Blizzard doesn't have to give permission. People are allowed to. Starcraft 2 beta was streamed to Hell and back. Same with WotLK and Cata.

Wow. Is everyone in this forum retarded?

Stash size increase is something we have been discussing (and have received positive feedback on), providing that we initially provide plenty of stash space for free.

We don't intend to sell buff potions because that's buying power.

Stop with the PR. I'm sure you have enough experience in the F2P market like a very few people here. You know as well as I and some others that selling purely optional stuff will not work. You know that players won't buy it if it's not powerful. Free-to-play games only survive by having a rich company backing it (Team Fortress) or if items in the cash shops are enticing and can be used for game play.

I've worked in the industry. New spell animations, new unstated outfits, more bank space, extra character slots, etc.. They make up for a small percent of the profit. You know as well as I know you will be putting buffing items in the shop. If you really believe you can survive without that then you're going to fail.

Look I will give credit where it is due. Blizzard was epic all the way up until they wrote WoW. Before that they were absolutely the standard of online rpg and rts. However since the unholy birth of World of Warcraft(which in my opinion is a slap in the face to the name Warcraft) Blizzard has lost their innocsence and that worries me for Diablo 3.

On the otherhand this game looks amazing. For years I have searched for a game that could steal my soul like Diablo although I haven't had the pleasure of playing PoE yet I can tell you that this game looks like it could give D3 a run for its money.Personally I had accepted the fact that Action Rpg was a long lost idea for gaming until now.

There's my 2 cents
To the death of WoW and its many clones!

Yap, i think exactly the same, there is no warcraft in world of warcraft anymore :P Just messed up claudron of whatever is fine as long as it new instance/dungeon/zone. Maybe wow alone was fine enough but expansions mesed it up totaly.

I always got an impression of - the bigger company the lower quality is becoming, because of whole corporational thing and focusing only on $$ earning. Smaller companies rather than putting money earning first they think of way to success and its more visible that players get alot more of what they want, like they are gamers themselves and not only old farts sitting behind desk while counting money while telling others what to do xD
