Physical doesn't have pen, with combustion getting around 60 pen isn't hard without curses. Physical is so bad I can't believe you people are even talking about impale.

I think impale is best outside of these two skills, with the champion node and the master mod you can get a bit over 40% impale chance. Then you can add that to heavy strike, cyclone I guess, vigilant strike lol but you get my point.

Point of clarification:
These gems do not have melee tags.

These are ranged skills that use melee weapons.

So i finally have Lacing Steel and changed my banner to Dread. Works great but have some questions.

1. Should i take proj nodes instead swords one? Im running with OG.
2. What if im using Lacing for clear and Double Strike for single - what nodes then? Does it have sense?
3. Gonna go with Cast on Crit with Bladefall.
4. What supports are best for those?

It doesn't matter if you chose projectile or sword nodes, either one will raise your damage the same. You can try switching to Double Strike for single targets but you'd probably be better off sticking with Lancing Steel. I find Double Strike doesn't work very good unless you are doing a Crimson Dance or Poison build because of the faster hits you are producing. I looked at your tree, doesn't look like it's set up for a Cast on Crit. You have no spell damage in your build.
