Super Slow Mo! (All content! No uniques required! Perfect for new, SSF, & challenged gamers.) (3.4)

Haha, well, I'd have to be from GGG to lie about things like that - my league is written right beside my character. And also I'm only in act 6 (god, I really should do the trials and finish the first lab, but I really don't like them, like really really - I'm a bad though lucky player) - so no way I'm in the area to farm those Tabula cards.

I know you were only joking.

I'm going to try to delve a bit deeper because I had no problems killing three gods in the act 6 - the parasite one, the Karui one, and the goat one. So maybe if I try a bit more, I'll learn how to evade those cone-like electricity attacks in narrow passages of the Delve. :)

Haha, on the 48th level of the mine, an Exalted orb dropped after finishing an azurite node. Truly beginner's luck.

I too am a Lab hater. I go for the Ascendancy points and that's it. I prefer other content.

Your kind of luck should be illegal. You shouldn't be playing POE. You should be in a high end Monico casino.

Haha, I wish! Actually, this is the first time ever I'm this lucky (in a game or otherwise). I guess it's just POE's vibes.

I had the second Jeweller's Touch proccing today and also passed the first Labyrinth getting my first two Ascendancy points! Yay!

So, triniparty, I've been thinking. I really like how the Scion class looks (vain, I know, but I am who I am). So she's pretty, and I thought if it were at all possible to remake your build to be able to start as a Scion?

I don't really mind respeccing throughout, but I am for sure a total newb who just wants to look at a pretty character model while playing.

Of course, if it's not possible then it's not possible, but I had to ask. :) I'd love to try a Scion Juggernaught (for that forking Lab, oh how I abhor it) not in an SSF mode, too, but that's only after I played enough with your awesome build.

Well, first off, the Necromancer is likely very offended that you're considering another lady and as a result has likely cursed your name. (I'd find it funny if your great drop luck ended as soon as you posted this ;).)

Secondly, you can make almost any idea work in this game, but not everything can be done via respecing. You can switch Ascendancies in POE but not your class. Normal skills require one respec point to refund. Ascendancy nodes cost 5 respec points. (Once you've respec'd all your ascendancy points you can choose between your original three options upon your next lab completion.) But to do Scion, you'd have to start as Scion.

My opinion regarding that though is that you'd have to do a completely different build to make it work. For example, the Necromancer tree gives you 2 extra zombies and insane improvements to the Zombie Slam. Slowing the cooldown of the Zombie Slam, decreasing it's AOE, and the number of zombies doing it will greatly decrease your clear speed and DPS in boss battles. Zombie Slam is the most important part of a Zombie build (if you ask me) because the Slam always hits. It doesn't require accuracy improvements. A huge damaging AOE that always hits...often is sooooo nice. The Necromancer tree also gives 140% Minions damage, 40% minion life, and lots of minion attack and movement speed. The Scion-Necro gives 30% minion damage.
So for you to take this build to Scion you'd have to look for some uniques that boost your minions substantially in both offense and defense along with revamping your gems to suit your new ascendancy nodes.

You could try it for sure and see how it goes! That's just my opinion though.

Thirdly, I'm sure you can see the inner beauty of the Necromancer ;).

You are absolutely correct. As soon as I started playing the Scion, I thought it was a bad idea. I mean, it doesn't feel right, you know?

Besides, I thought Scion was that awesome universal class without any setbacks, but it's not the case here - being the Jack of all trades influences the class quite heavily.

Thirdly, I don't want to play another Necro class if I'm going to alternate between the characters (for the sake of diversity). So I decided to start a Marauder - I've heard they are great for doing the Lab, and also I wanted to try out the trading.

Anyway, I find your pro-Necro dry humor very funny, and thanks for articulating your perspective so well - it's very much appreciated!
So as this is my first go around making my own filter in Notepad, I had to make some assumptions. I didn't realize how rarely the top base of each type of armour dropped. I find I see almost no drops for armour...or the drops are not frequent enough for SSF. So I'm working on a pattern that'll likely show all Strength and Intelligence gear that drops but have it non-intrusive and easy to determine at a glance if it's a high item level or not.

So if you're SSF, hang in there, you'll have something to use your Wisdom Scrolls with soon enough. I just have to tweek the visuals through a few hours of gameplay...of which I don't get too often. But I'll do it as soon as I can.

So I got that Oni-Goroshi on my second character (marauder) and once again understood how much I like the playstyle of this build. It's just so relaxing. I thought hordes of mobs in the mines were bad... I was wrong - a little bit of positioning solves almost all the problems.

It turned out that this build requires minimal kiting - and it feels so nice. I'd love to try it out on Uber Hillock because I hate that guy's guts. :) Seeing my zombies tearing him to pieces would be so satisfying.

You got an Oni? We're fighting ;). You're either a liar or a liar. Either way, we're fighting. I thought that the Necromancer's curse would have stopped your luck. She must have mixed it up and blessed you instead.
The Occultist is better at Curse Efficiency. You better be careful if you ever to the Occultist ;). I don't mean to sway you from this build, but having an Oni drop is crazy good. Either use that character for a while and love the Oni, or go off of SSF with the Zombies, sell the Oni, and gear up your Zombies bigtime (End game, not now).

No lies. And it was one hell of the fight. I swore never to do the farm again but guess what? I want to do it again - not the fight; the run and the drop. I was recommended to take a Scion for farm due to her piercing starting gem, but is it viable to use a witch? I mean, she has fireball, so what about its AoE? Would it be enough even if that big shit surrounds itself with his minions?

Anyway, I currently have no time to play during the day (only really brief runs like the Uber Hillock one), and I like the game, so farming such a short, sweet route is a way for me to scratch that itch.

You know, I kind of get why they added this shitty minion mechanics to the boss - it severely limits botting, and thus the price for the sword is very high in delve (starting with 140c). But it's really a pain in the ass.

Also, my witch loves me. She'd never curse me.
