Any ETA on fixing these ridiculous AMD FPS drops? (e: Nvidia cards affected as well!)

Switching from playing on my desktop to my laptop for a while. Never had any such problems on my desktop with a Radeon hd 6950 2gb.
On my laptop I have the exact same issues as described here. The laptop uses a gt540m. POE was the first thing I installed after reinstalling windows 7 and all drivers. Sadly I don't dare playing my main onslaught character with this problem as I know it'd lead to me dying eventually. |

I kinda have this issue, except that it is only in Ship Graveyard. Every other aspect of PoE runs perfectly.

Id love to be able to play in parties with more than 10 FPS sometime soon
I might even buy a supporter pack if they make this game run at a playable FPS I am the world's best path of exile player, I strong I kill all monster with amazing power

Weird.
I had the exact same problem before with my ATI graphics card. I recently updated my driver from the AMD site and everything is now smooth again. |

Although GGG clearly doesn't want to fix this (It's been over 1 year since the first post about this appeared), i'll bump the thread anyway as a warning for new players, so they don't expect that this will ever be fixed !

been faithful in the game for over year and a half. Payed closed beta keys for friends because i love path of exile. i gave my keys that i received for free. I got support packs for me and my girlfriend ( she got the fancy expensive one you know...girls.. ) Ever since Open beta. I have been having terrible fps drops...and usually how high my graphics are set doesn't even matter... low...high...medium..IT ALWAYS HAPPENS sometimes its ok. but sometimes its seriously unplayable. My computer doesn't suck. i play almost any game on max settings with high definition texture mods. so why cant i play path of exile the game i love so much on medium graphics without going from 60fps to 5fps. Why? i love you. Hell i just got a new SSD JUST so i could put windows and path of exile. that's how much i want to play this game. i use to be able to play just fine in closed beta with a little fps drops but noway anything close to this. skill effects completely rape me now. when they came out i got firestorm and fireball and used them with pride. now i need to take them off or every 3-5 fireball i go to 12 fps for no reason. whats up with that? i even payed for 2x fireball 2x firestorm just because i had silly totem plans. whats going on? this should be number 1 on your list. your losing people. all my friends quit because of the fps lag. they use to play on there medium range pc's and now most of them quit because they don't enjoy arpgs much or have serious fps drops. I love the new stuff. but whats the point of adding shit to this masterpiece if half ( or maybe 1/4th ) of the people cant enjoy it... how hard can it be to limit particles shown? you can seriously remove the blurry weird effect now its not even good looking in groups its all you see a huge bloob of wavy particle stuff...I want to keep playing. I want to love and give to this game. but you NEED to focus on whats important and right now A LOT of people are having issues. some people with crappy computers play with no lag or fps drops and some people with bad ass computers drop like crazy, vice versa. its not normal, something is wrong. You are known for your versatility, now please add options to hide stuff. its not like its game breaking. its actually game fixing. I have faith in you <3
Sorry for my bad English. [on a positive side note] i fixed SOME of my issues using RadeonPro. ( a lot better then without it, tho i still drop quite hard in docks but that place is always been a real drop fest. hope this helps some of you. ) I turned on -triple-burffering. -lock frame rate up to monitor's refresh rate. played around with AA. -force process high priority tried alot of stuff wont go into details. play around with it ( if you know what your doing somewhat ) all this really did was help my frame rate issues and a tiny bit helped fps drops. i still get them party or alone. hit me up @sarrow lets have fun :D
