FYI: Chris is not involved in balancing and hasn't played Uber Elder

I made it to 10 or 12 in Abyss ;)
he is just waiting for the next league I guess ^^

Awhile back Chris wanted the game to be alot different but the company has gotten so big I don't think he could even try to keep up with everything now. At the same time it's a bit sad he isn't more involved with his game, which I believe can contribute to some problems. Chris doesn't need to be in everyone's business but he should probably be more involved to perhaps understand more of what players are yearning for.

well, top management isn't involved in every detail of their product. i bet the CEO of shell has never done maintenance work on an oil rig. the job of management is to enable the team to do their job properly - make the right decisions and remove any obstacle that prevents them from getting stuff done. but yea, it would be nice if chris played his own game, sure.

edit: just a disclaimer: i'm in no way a ggg fanboi. if anything, quite the opposite.

Well, of course this make sense. Why would the founder of a company be getting into the details that he hires other people to handle? Sure, in the beginning Chris was probably developing and testing PoE personally. But these days, GGG has grown enough to have him handle the overall affairs while dedicated programmers and QA staff test everything.

Isn't it a good thing ?

Just imagine this "hey guys, i have too much work to play the game, but i'm the one who balance the game lel."

Wouldn't it be far worse ?
GGG is now a pretty big company, you can't manage such a big entity alone.

I think Chris has a job. And maybe family? Hell, he might even have hobbies outside of PoE, God forbid. You know, it's not "normal" to play video games for 16 hours a day. How the hell can people afford this thing called "life"?
