General Discussion - Creating an elder ring was the most idiotic thing I have ever done in PoE - Forum

Havent set one up, not going to. Never sextant blocked, not going to. Never stacked umpteen thousand increased quantity and rarity gear, not going to. I like to just log on, relax, run some maps and kill some shi* inbetween preventing my children from burning the house down. I dont have 76 mirrors like INo and her crew but I can afford decent things, the gear I use in max rolls, lv21 gems, the occasional fancy watchers eye etc. Its a game, every fkng update they try to make it child labor more and more. Spent the last 14 hours setting up my second attempt in-between doing the master daily quests, messing about with decorations in my hide out and some farming on an alt. One collapse trying for a longer route(could tell it was coming due to how much shaper influence was around where i was going), after that i force a mini loop to stop any total collapse and then extended it to a full perma elder ring. That leaves me with 27 maps that I can run, and never change a thing. Another interesting visual is that there is no gap between Chimera and Hydra, even though the gray area appears to break. Well, it looks cool. It must be nice to look at in real time, with the tendrils and stars. And like a lot of work. I just need to fall down the stairs at my current workplace, maybe someone can leap naked into a wood chipper in front of me and I have to take some trauma leave, or massive floods with ebola crocodiles, that might do ... If you are lazy like me, you dont really need a ring. I had my atlas shaped for shaped burial chambers and regular dunes, because i like the maps. I got lucky and got elder to spawn on shore and a guardian on phantasmagoria. so i just killed off all other guardians, having the influence wander about, but permanent on dunes. So now i got either elder/shaper on shaped burial and always elder on dunes, and i always get the maps. so yeah i made a elder line, no ring just a line. ofc it was pure luck getting the spawn there but it took like 0 time to setup once i realised my luck and what i could do.
