The fusing mechanism is frustrating and punishing
" Your pretty salty but 6l this league have been extremely cheap, you can buy anything that isn't a straight str base for <20c :/ flippers don't dictate the prices of 6l's, the price of fuses is tied to their vendor ratio and usually ends up ~ 2-3 fuses per C so a 6l unique that somebody has made to profit will go for ~ 3-400c which is what the fuses cost if you buy them raw, yes you are probably paying for the fact they got lucky when linking it but you can do exactly the same thing by buying fuses yourself. |

Also, to add:
Casual SSF play, in my experience, typically amasses just about enough currency to Vorici-bench a single item by the ass-end of the league. That includes doing most dailies (which, I confess, I just don't do anymore because it is just too boring even though it is only like 10 minutes to do all of them). I dabble in Standard, the original reason for which was amassing enough currency over my first couple of leagues to actually make a 6L and play with it. |

Notice any similarity with this thread title? To add on top of the ridiculousness of OP's complaint is the fact that unlike the casino's the fusing system has the possibility of a 100% 6L guarantee available. Imagine if a casino had a rule that at 1500$ in slot machine the next pull of the lever guaranteed a Jackpot. Imagine that OP and you will realise how much sense your complaining actually makes. "Never argue with an idiot. They will take you down to their level and beat you trough experience."

a huge improvement (compromise) would be to simply have jewelers and fuses to never REDUCE the existing number of sockets/links. Then you will still need a crap ton of tries to get the 6 link but won't be bricking your good 5 link item to try.

Last league wasted over 1500 fuses to get no 6 link, i got a 6 link in 4 fuses this league, rng works in mysterious ways
