The same way they allowed all those Bots? For the cold, hard, cash? Oh wait, they don't allow Bots.
Also remember Blizzard aren't the only company allowing multi-boxing, in fact just the opposite, hard to find a company that does not allow multi-boxing. Even indie companies, like the makers of Torchlight allow multi-boxing.
Must be giant conspiracy. None of these companies care about their player base, just cold, hard, cash.
This is one of the very weakest arguments used about multi-boxing, but very popular with the tinfoil hat crowd.

Really you don't think blizzard allowed bots? where were the ban waves? oh that's right, there weren't any.

Bottom line, is that both multiboxing and multilogging is about greed. It's about player X getting absolutely as much of Y for themselves as they possibly can, to the exclusion of anyone else.
And if you actually fool yourself into thinking this is good for the game, then you might want to remember this discussion 6 months from now when you are paying 100 Exalted for something that at the moment only costs 5.
No, most multiboxers do it because they don't want to rely on the behavior that the anonymity of the internet allows people to feel like they can get away with.
Inflation happens in every economy. Blaming that on multiboxing is disingenuous at best.

I can only think of one...out of the 100s of games out there with online capabilities, I can only think of one company with 3 games that doesnt allow Multiboxing. Perfect World and a few of their other games dont allow more than 2 clients running at once from the same IP.
Its not ACTUALLY against multiboxing, but its the closest thing I can think of.

GGG needs to respond to this already so we can either be assured balance, or giveaway all our items.
You can give your stuff away, but multibox or not, I'll play this game. I didnt give my crap away in D2 when they said ok to multiboxing, and I wont do it here.

It is somewhat fatal to think because other to the same thing, GGG needs to do the same, too.
As of know they pretty much stand out in doing not so.
And the fanbase loves them because they do so.
What if every company has done it wrong all along? Why not trying to find a original solution?

You don't try and stop multiboxing on the security/programming side.
You make it inefficient. Either by making a better alternative (/player) or by removing the benefit (modify the +quantity/
Doing this will more than likely end up dissuading players to even party up. Why party with random or even buddies when I can solo and get all the loot for myself?
Or even worse...why party with ANYONE if we have to split 1 person loot more than 1 way.
I like pizza and dont mind sharing, especially if there are 6 people sharing one pizza. But I refuse to share my only piece of pizza with 6 people.
That pretty much sum up multi logging there.
Why bother crafting when you can farm 15-30 chaos an hour?
Why bother partying when you can farm 15-30 chaos an hour and buy the best gear?oh you selling a mirror?let me offer you these 600 chaos orb that only took me 20 hours of farming.
The dissuading player arguement already fall off because of the clunky loot system that GGG doesn't want to change or atleast remotely fix by makign even bigger timer.
For those saying don't bother with other player play style just focus on your own that wont work. in 3 month i still want my chaos to be worth 3 chaos - 1 GCP not 10 Chaos - 1 GCP.
Quick Question Zalm out of the blue if GGG allowed player to hack other player account would you still abide by their decision or would you gain some humanity and feel/think for yourself and consider that what allowed isnt alway what best.

Very few people are defending multi-logging. We've been discussing multi-boxing, which is an entirely different thing.
And herein lies the problem, people assume that multi-boxing is this huge evil thing that destroys games. It isn't. Seriously, try it for yourself. I'm not joking, I want you to try to do it and then come back and tell me that you still think it could ruin a game.
