If it's a dumb question, you should know the answer by now.

Hint: With the most ludicrously perfect state-of-the-art southern US WALL, you cannot even hit 50% efficiency.

Why is that?

I guess this is therapeutic for you or something so I'm just gonna nod and say "you're doing fine, buddy".

What?

Why are you scared of answering simple questions?

Is it because the answer is actually very inconvenient or inconfeve?

- Drug smugglers won't be affected. They already dig tunnels, use boats or drones to smuggles their stuff without being detected.

- "immigrants who entered mexico illegally" huh, I don't understand what you mean on that one.

- Human traffickers, it's like 50/50. Those that did it by walking through the border, sure but there's a good deal that enter through boats or trucks. Border patrol doesn't have time to inspect every trucks.

- I guess those that were already deported might be stopped, unless they simply get someone else identity to cross again. Or other ways.

Overall, it MIGHT discourage some deported to come back but I highly doubt it's worth the amount spent on a dumb wall. I'm sure there's far more cost efficient solutions.

Because the questions are idiotic. It's like asking how many burglars come through the window when arguing about whether to lock the door. And then when nobody wants to engage with the nonsense question, you act all smug about it. It's comical.

If you don't know, just say it.

It should be common knowledge to anyone forming an opinion about the wall in the past two years.

UNLESS

They misguidedly dismissed sources with journalistic integrity, and read Breitbart, r/The_Donald, or (my favourite) 4chan cesspool of humanity, instead.

I.e. have no ability to obtain reliable information about the world.

This is what I actually wanted to establish.

The pro-wall people, do not even BEGIN to comprehend the issue.

Like that, more than half of undocumented immigrants entered the country legally, making the most perfect wall completely useless in their regard.

Inconvenient, or inconfeve is it?

Yep, you're still rambling about the window. Doors still work though. No matter how much you try to ignore it.

I said "effective." I didn't say perfect. Where there's no wall they don't dig tunnels, they don't need to.

It's important to know that a decent chunk of immigrants from Central America (e.g. Honduras) decide to enter Mexico illegally, then make the trip to the US. For example, that famous migrant caravan overwhelmed Mexico's southern border.

You are failing to understand the problem in the appropriate context. A door is effective against illegal entry, which is like a guy you don't like trying to come into your home. But that's not analogous to the problem of illegal immigration; illegal immigration is the problem of the guy you already allowed to visit your home who suddenly refuses to leave. A door isn't particularly helpful in fixing that problem, at least not until after you successfully eject him and he attempts reentry.

Now you might argue, "if I don't even have a door, what's the point in solving the problem of the asshole who won't leave? He'll just come back and get in because I have no door." And that's a fair point. But it's still a separate issue from how it is you'd solve the problem of ejecting him. And keep in mind, this space you're protecting is a public space, more like your restaurant than your house. You can put a man on the door with a blacklist, but you're always going to have the problem of ejecting new people who won't leave when asked.

As with the fellow who refuses to leave, the solutions to illegal immigration involve the credible threat of physical violence. In a civil society that means police and due process. It's a legal problem, and you can't solve legal problems purely with inanimate objects and automated electronics. An active human element is inexorable to remedying the situation.

Right. Because that analogy works so great here.

It's ok to not know something, or be too lazy to google it, or too scared to click on a current affairs source, in case you catch liberalism or socialism or some other vile disease from them, but these childish games are really beneath you. And more importantly. Me.

Anyways, ty for proving my point regarding pro-wall supporters and their impressive (lack of) knowledge regarding the fundamental issues.
