Edit: saw that covenant body, but do we have enough regen to sustain life? i dont want to be using life flasks when ever I cast SRS.

I tried to go 6L Belly and I absolutely couldn't get 3 blue 3 red. I dumped 300 Chromes into it and didn't even come close. So I went with Skin of the Loyal, a lot easier to get 3B 3R or a white socket. Only problem is lack of life... I'm only lvl 73 at the moment, but at 4k life I feel super, super squishy. I find that if I Shield Charge into something to get the proc I just immediately get wrecked.

I'm tempted to go with a +3 staff and Kaom's just for the survivability.

Let me reiterate what I put on the 3.3 Update: For those you don't want to deal with mana issues, The Covenant is a fantastic choice these days~ This allows you to free up a Flask Slot for another defensive (Basalt/Granite/Jade/Rumi's) flask. Your natural life regen + life flasks are more than enough to heal you if you properly invest into them (belt mod, proper flask rolls, gear, tree). If your gear is not to the point to be able to shield charge into packs without dying, you can use ball lightning as a ranged way to proc EE. Play it safe! (ie Don't play like me ;P)

Just to provide some confirmation and support <3, Sidhebreath is a fine amulet while leveling and even super post endgame with the proper corruption(s!). I tried out a very well rolled one (with minion dmg corruption) in Harbinger after reaching Lv100 to speed run some bosses. It's alright.

For most people who are trying to progress and make it through the content (hopefully alive), a regular life + resist + other fun mods you can craft from essences (like Fear for minion movement speed!) + shaped mods would be overall more balanced. :)

Note that I leveled/played with a Bisco's Collar (pre super nerf) 99% of the time.

I'm in the same boat. Super looking forward to 3.4 (just wished I had more time to max it out but school OP). I'll still try to put some time into it, especially during the league start.

You're right in that it's hard to tell until we see patch notes! I'm still deciding on a build myself but am definitely keeping an eye out for this one since it has been a year (wow time flies) since I've revisited this build. So this might be my league starter!

From when I was playing it, it scaled very smoothly from act 1 to act 10 all the way to end game, maps, bosses, and level 100 :) I went as pure SRS the entire way and loved it.

I'm always looking to innovate/improve/minmax my builds so please look forward to updates soon(tm)! ;)

Hey. Your POB for Shaper DPS includes intimidated but where is the source? Is this the error?

But I tried my Standard character on this build. So far it seems good and I use belt of the deceiver. Weird enough, using belt of the deceiver doesn't increase damage on POB. Is this another error?

Hello, the POB is a bit old so things may have randomly errored over time. Intimidate (https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Intimidate): you can get it from the belt of the deceiver but you may have to toggle it on the tab for it to work properly.

Any thoughts on the new minion accuracy gloves? Seems like they'll give SRS builds a lot more freedom on how they want to structure themselves.
EDIT: And, reading the changelog, all the minion accuracy on the tree. Lyco seems less necessary now.

3.4 is looking good with minion accuracy and minion speed. Maybe we can drop minion speed with spell echo for smoothly clearspeed.

I played around with POB and new minion accuracy using Victario's Charity. It is pretty damn good for budget build(not using Lyco and Scourge). But I see that Lyco and Scourge still give highest dps possible regardless.


I am so going SRS as starter now.

I use Covenant in my build btw. I think I can get 5k-5.5k Life with mediocre gear.
Because of the blood magic on Covenant, it is necessary to swap mana flask with defensive flask.
I have a lot of jewel sockets there and there. I think for the starter, I could use some of more life nodes instead of these jewel sockets since I am gonna use Covenant.

For clearspeed setup, realistic dps per srs could be around 30k to 50k with Spell Echo and Melee Splash if I use flesh/vaal haste or not.
