I'm not sure why you can't do Shaper with 8.4k Life. I'm only at 7.7k and I can tank anything the Shaper throws at me without dodging (melee, orbs with enough cast speed, beam with enough life leech, slam with enough defense) except Bullet Hell.

The OP has a video of him doing the run so clearly it works, but it's slower than I would like due to the DPS - too many ice orbs on the floor by the end.

You answered to the question - ''too many ice orbs on the floor by the end'' in third phase due low dmg.Are you watched video? I doubt that new or average player can kill shaper with this build. Yes, if playing poe from years and ran hundreds of times shaper yes, its possible. I'm very disappointed from this build - expensive, low dmg, slow clear speed, not beginner friendly. Average or new player can't kill shaper or uber atziri if not have many sets for practice. And this cost money. Done with this build. Waiting for the next league.

I mean, clearly I've seen the video to know about the orbs. OP never said this build was the best build in the game and you can ignore all mechanics. Learning the fight is part of the fun/thrill of the game.


I'm not sure why you are waiting for next league; you just have to replace your gloves and try to color your Cherrubim or get a new armor for a standard DP build. LoL.

It's very nice build. I have only one problem - boss fight. When i fight against bosses i lose my hp to fast without doing much damag to him. Against all mobs its very nice easy and fun. Playing safe version with lioneye remorse and without kaom, u can look at my profile.

Sorry you feel that way. This isn't your typical faceroll build that ignores every single boss mechanic that the game throws at you. If you want brainless skill spamming, there are many other guides out there that you can follow.

I'm not sure what he was expecting. It's not as though you were lying or being deceptive since it says in the title "Starter Build" and can do end-game content (with video proof).

Yeah, I've only tried Shaper this League and beat him on first try. It was fun. Uber Atziri took 2 fails, but now I can consistently pay the 95 chaos ticket to get that 10 chaos drop.

Hmm as a spell caster build with no access to insanity gloves, running haste really provides a lot of utility for the build! The attack speed helps for faster whirling, cast speed stacks blight and wither much faster and the movement speed is just a cherry on top.

Arctic armour also synergises well with the build as channelling blight will mitigate physical and fire damage.


In one of the earlier comments, another player did run MoM but you need the %damage gained as mana affix on one of your gears/jewels. This is to ensure that you will never run out of mana and to be able to continuously cast blight no matter how much damage you take. This is due to the low mana costs of channelling spells.

However, a caveat will be that the mitigated mana will not count towards the 15% life taken for a savage hit to proc. In a sense, its not a wholly beneficial keystone to take.

Wow that's impressive! I had laid waste to 2 shaper and uber atziri sets before beating them. I ran more than 30 uber atziri sets and i'm pretty sure i suffered a loss even when it was arnd 60c a set at that time
