He's probably playing on Standard and just playing his old characters.

I don't get it either.

These are not in any order. Some of the issues I have with the game and some which others have stated in previous posts.

1)Game is balanced around the elite players instead of the average player.
2)Reused zones.
3)Only mitigation is vaal pact/leech.
4)Too much damage both player side and cpu side.
5)Not enough life nodes especially right side of the tree.
6)Leveling comes to a halt as there is no where to farm for an exp boost.
7)Game seems to be pushing people to play only a few viable builds.
8)Act 6 thru 9 are just far too long.
9)Story completion requirement for maps.
10)Alt f4 and portal in portal out if you don't want to die. (Not a dig at hc players. IT goes on in softcore too.)
11)Lab is tedious.
12)Constant crashes.
13)Too much currency.
14)Jittery screen while running/walking and looking at items.
15)Way too much league content being added after every league.
16)Too many unused support gems.
17)GGG killing off certain ways to build characters if said build becomes the meta.
18)More advantageous to play by yourself than in a group.
19)Too much boss hp.

Don't misunderstand me. The game is great but some of the decisions going forward from previous patches have been bad.

I have a fairly good rig that could run most modern games on high but 3.0 made poe unplayable on DX9ex and DX11 is only marginally better.

Sad part is they dont even acknowledge the issue.
