Lag spikes most of the day (Australia)

I've started having spiking ping issues as of yesterday also, except i'm in Sydney.

My ISP is Internode who is owned by iinet/TPG.

So this is an infrastructure issue on their end and I have to sit and wait till they fix it or is there something I can do?
I've also been having this issue with the AU gateway since last night.

This route shows loss at 218.100.78.56 as well. The game is 'unplayable' for me as well.

Moving to the SG gateway resolves the behaviour, but I was curious, so I tried a traceroute to SG as well:

I'm probably reading that wrong but it looks like more loss in the softlayer network.

I'm a bit disappointed that there've been no staff posts on this at this stage given the issue is:

* Common among Australian users
* Severely impacting performance

My questions would be:

* Has GGG investigated these reports of performance issues?
* If so, are they related to user's ISPs? I'm reluctant to call my ISP at this stage to ask them about this, because firstly I have no confidence that they will care, and secondly because the call wait time is over 3 hours http://www.internode.on.net/contact/call_wait_times/
* If the issue is not related to user's ISPs, is it related to a GGG network provider? My rather lay understanding shows that softlayer links in two locations might be having packet loss. Is there any known issues at softlayer at this stage? It looks almost like they've de-prioritized one of their usual links.
* Or is the issue in the wider network, are there any network faults somewhere up the line. I tried having a look but I couldn't see anything. There's no advisories from my ISP: http://advisories.internode.on.net/

In the meantime, I guess it's the 130ms rt to SG for me and my Templar!

EDIT:

It looks like other international users have had a similar symptoms:

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1861850

My own test shows loss in the softlayer network to EU, though not much

And I've tried logging in and playing there: the same kind of performance stuttering is there, but it's less pronounced.

How does one summon the GGG Support gods to a thread?

Hey guys just an update.

I spoke to iinet support at about 10:30am and they grabbed all the details for the issue and were going to investigate and get back to me later in the day.

EDIT 3:53pm : Still spiking :(
For more detailed information, I do beta testing for $75 an hour.

This seems to be for some reason an iinet issue and is happening for me too. Constantly MS spikes making the game unplayable.

Happened from like 3-4pm EST yesterday, fixed at about 10-11pm last night (put in report to iinet) and then was fine this morning, and about 3:30-4 it is spiking again.

The interesting thing is its only iinet, other friends very close by on other providers are fine. As well as the fact all my speeds and such are fine, my provider even looked at periods of disrupted connection and they were minor (I live next to an exchange, so I normally don't get issues) for the month and nothing particular with these two days.

Running a ping test on various websites shows no issues, so its not purely poor internet.

It seems to be an issue with iinet and this game's gateway - would be nice for GGG to investigate and reply to this thread. Game is virtually unplayable with it.

I'm having the same issue, as of yesterday. Right now it's pretty bad but last night it was completely unplayable. It was fine a few hours ago, though. I'm with Internode in Melbourne.

Gone back to unplayable for me :(
Just throwing in my two cents: I live in South Aus and have been experiencing all the same issues. Game shows a low 20-30 ping, many more than 60 fps, but still lags on and off, enough to deem it unplayable anymore. I have Four other friends in various parts of SA that report the same :(
After about 10pm its stable at 30ms with no packet loss. During today its back to packet loss and ping spikes from middday to 5pm so far. SG gateway runs perfect, no packetloss. I'm with iinet also, the weird thing is i have zero issue with my connection than this one poe server.

Is it iinet, GGG or can it be both?
Hey been having the same/similar issues. My this is at https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1861916.

This has actually been happening for a long time, a couple of months now and it seems to be just getting worse and worse.

I'm in Perth, Western Australia with internode.
I've had lag spikes since 6pm last night. 24 hours solid. Please fix.
