First thing is to sort out your auras. I'm guessing it's Purity of Ice you're not running?

Flick back through the last few pages for more detail, but quickly it's Blood Magic and Discipline to helm while dropping your Clarity and Empower (so boots empty). Move Vitality and Purity of lightning to your boots along with a new level 6 or lower Clarity. Now you'll be able to run all 6 auras and get the boosts for doing it.

On your tree drop the stand alone 6% ES node under Foresight, the stand alone regen node beside Shaper, Physique (don't need the strength there at the moment anyway) and the 5% ES node two above Arcane Focus. They're all relatively inefficient to other nodes depending on what we want to prioritise.

Personally I'd be trying to use those passive points to boost damage with either Explosive Impact or Trickster, but your regen is so low I'd prioritise defensive mitigation and grab Devotion and the extra node at Faith and Steel instead. Pushing up to 48% Phys Damage Reduction will make it feel a lot tankier.

After grabbing one of the two damage boosting paths just mentioned, eventually you'll want to spec out of the +10 Intelligence node between Written in Blood and Influence so you can grab the jewel socket near Influence. No hurry on that one, but no harm mentioning it. Those 4% Mana nodes aren't great on their own though, so I'd probably grab something like the regen node at Shaper again and the 14$ ele damage near templar instead and then respec to the jewel when you have 3 points to spend.

Take care with the crafting. If you're self crafting it can get very expensive very fast. Skipping over lots of great rolls that would sell for a tidy profit just because they don't fit this build turns crafting sessions into serious money sinks. If you intend on doing it figure out what builds are super popular at the minute (the meta) and what type of gear they're snapping up. They'll have hefty profits associated with them where instead of skipping those rolls you can sell them for a nice profit and be able to afford exactly the item you wanted or needed.

In the mean time, lots of stuff on .trade that would be a step up from some of your current gear.

For Gloves you really want +140 ES. If they're not Delirium gloves (if you're using a helm with support rolls) with the 30% DoT you'd want ~200 ES. For a real upgrade there you're talking ~2ex, so might be outside your budget for now.

ES on a Vertex runs from 240 to 304. At 251 you really want to get yours higher. Glancing at the prices for higher rolls it's a toss of a coin between buying better and hitting it with a Divine. Personally I'd probably Divine it and hope to luck out with super rolls. Anything +272 is above average. I'd probably hit it until I got a +280. Worst case scenario you'll hit some bad rolls and you get to call me an idiot ;)

Some really great belt rolls out there with ES Recovery and % ES. Lots of room for upgrade there. Though as with many things when you're hitting real end game gear the prices do tend to ramp up fairly quickly. Lots of room for improvement on the jewels as well as the rings, but need a little luck and fortunate timing to get good deals on those as both highly in demand. Set up your alerts on .trade when you can and you'll eventually find the pieces you need.

i have everything described in the video for lvl 34.....i flop like a damn fish lol....i guess doing norm lab before switching to llrf is a must?

life RF was my league starter and i enjoyed it, ive never played LL RF so i wanted to give it a try to see if i could use it as a league starter next league....

It's not a 'must' but it's quite helpful in keeping up with the gaps. Make sure your fire resistances are capped and you have as much regen as possible.

I did it at that level but to be honest it's slower than just leveling with something else and switching later.
Nachos? Yes.

Thanks so much for all the input! Just sorting out my auras and passive tree has already made a world of difference. Much appreciated!
Extended guide on how to make any viable RF character:

Step 1: Equip RF gem
Step 2: Get the new Celestial Righteous Fire MTX
Done.

That thing is pure porn! I think it even gives innate 10k ES and 10% ES regen :-)

Sold a 6l starforge and threw a bunch of random items sitting in tabs to make this far, level 85 atm, what would you recommend upgrading first and foremost?
Can u please tell me what make ES regen Positive ? Because in my char the regen still positive without using Vitality aura, Is it max fire res ? or what ?
And I don't understand what is thing that make the build tanky and how I can make the char more tanky ?

and in Uber Atziri I should have high chaos res to survive right ?

Is it really worth to get purity of fire lvl 21 to get lvl 23 with +2 socket gem ? Is it +1 max res really worth ? I dont know so far , so I am upset.

We use lots of things to improve our net regen, so there's no one thing. We take regen nodes on the tree, our ascendency gives us regen for each aura we cast, we scale our ES which itself improves regen (e.g. so from casting Discipline we grow our ES pool which improves regen, we reserve mana which grows our ES pool more and provides even more regen and we cast an aura which provides more regen).

Max fire res reduces the damage we take from RF (and incoming fire damage as a bonus). So that improving max fire res reduces the degen we suffer, which improves our Net regen (regen - degen).

Using 3 purities means we greatly reduce the elemental damage we suffer getting 81% or more resistance to each element.
Our ascendancy means we gain armour for our reserved life which allows us build decent resistance to physical damage.
We have some block and some evade to help mitigate the incoming damage.
We have offensive flasks that also help us scale our defense, with Sulpher and Witchfire both scaling both.
Our ability to scale high regen means that when we do get hit we're able to recover from it quickly.
We're able to incorporate things like Fortify or Endurance Charges to help mitigate damage further.
One of our main ways of scaling our RF damage is building our life pool, which obviously makes us a lot tankier.

Defense is all about layering various different methods and systems. This build manages to incorporate enough of them to make it feel pretty tanky when done right.

Some Chaos res helps against the constructs during the 'trash' phases, but that's easy enough to tiptoe through relatively slowly anyway so not sure I'd go out of my way scaling Chaos res for it, and the Cycloner in the Trio drops some Chaos degen separate to the phys degen the deaths cause.

That said, walking in with 75% Chaos res won't make it facetankable. It's designed to be mechanic tests with damage to punish you if you fail the test. The majority of damage is physical and fire. Small amounts of chaos and lightning in comparison to those two.

If trying to make your way through probably worth reading some guides on flasks for Uber. Off the top of my head I'd want Ruby and Topaz for the Vaals. Ruby and Basalt for the Trio and Ruby/Ruby for Atziri. Be sure to have anti bleed for both the trio and Atziri too.

Yes. That's why the guide says to do it.

The belt, the gold ring, all the jewels (even the Energy from Within can roll up to 6% and I'd burn every conq efficiency I see - read any of my posts on it, it's killing your damage - and a Watcher's Eye), the Dory and the Vertex (possible to divine, check prices to decide), Witchfire (40%), Rumi's (20%/10%) and switch the Sorrow out for a Sulpher of Warding for mapping (flasks are good early upgrades as they're full gg for endgame with top rolls), gloves (+150 ES), enchant on the boots and gloves, Sapphire ring and then the 6 link Shav's.

Rough order there, but obviously depends on the prices and availability of the upgrades.

That leaves you with the Presence. Once you've upgraded everything else you can start saving for a +1 Max Res corruption.

So yeah, everything ;)

got these for the time being, that should be good enough for at least maps right?

is 2% increase from EFW going to matter much when there is so much more to upgrade?

how do you fix the conq efficiency problem?

planning to get ench on boots tomorrow if lab is good enough.

Any other insights? Thing is, sitting at like 10c atm, do you recommend farming a bit before upgrading anything important?
