Donald Trump and US politics

This is an example of why the MSM gets labeled as Fake News so frequently.

This whole thing expose the bias, the propagantic nature and lack of integrity of CNN. Here is a story about the president meeting important people of the black community to help the black community in the USA.... Which in fact is an historic and important moment. Nahhhh let's just turn this into another scandal to make Trump look bad instead of telling the truth and speaking of what's important in the room.

That's the live link. It, unlike the archive link, actually has all the content the page contains. Including the more accurate picture you complain that CNN didn't use.

Whoops.
1. Um, no. Same cropped, Conway-focused photo.

2. Do you really not understand why archive links are used?

What you're calling subterfuge is something that you wouldn't see unless you explicitly bypassed the website. It's a fairly vapid news story, but what you're claiming is just bizarre.

Archiving pages doesn't alter the content - it is a snapshot of the page and is made in case a website later alters or deletes content. That's why people archive pages. Right now while someone is reading this page on the PoE forum, CNN could be changing it again. CNN can't change the archive. 4 different snapshots of the web page were made - all showing the same thing. When I follow your link, I still see the image that I linked as from CNN.

Also, people seriously believe that Trump didn't mock Serge Kovaleski, and didn't do so explicitly in a way that targeted his arthrogryposis? Because it's all there. On video. Blatantly obvious. It's kind of mind-boggling to me how anyone could choose not to see it.

Was Trump mocking disabled people or mocking a person for pretending not to remember who happened to be disabled?
Spoiler
If Trump is considered to be mentally unstable then isn't mocking Trump mocking mentally unstable people?

On further inspection, the image is a thumbnail for a video that takes quite a while to load. Quite a while.

Well, say what you will about its substantive content, but this was far and away his best speech as it concerns tone, presentation, and whatever makes up your latent definition of acting "presidential".

Pretty socialist speech by Trump. health care, roads, etc. Thats gonna cost a lot of money. Like Obama type money. Guess all these presidents are gonna ride train into insolvency.

I'd like to hear nix social security, welfare, Food stamps, farm aid, cut military 50%, cut Federal workforce 90% and 90% of federal department, and get into surplus not imbalance. Not to mention freedom and constitutional enumerated powers instead of statism we have today

I'm not really a Trump Conservative anymore. Back to Mises.org for me.

Both are irresponsible if they eat meat.

The Cowspiracy infographic claims livestock "meat and dairy" use 1/3 of fresh water supply.

The USA raises ~10% of world's livestock. The rest of the world raises 90%
So, if water usage was equal per livestock, we would expect to see the world use nine times as much water as the USA.

If the US total fresh water usage is a little over 1 billion cubic meters (3), and less than 1% of that (4) goes towards raising roughly 10% of the world's livestock (5)....
And the rest of the world is using 9086 (9087-1) billion cubic meters of fresh water (1)
and 33% of the world's world's fresh water usage is towards live stock (2),
Then it means the rest of the world is using 2,998 billion cubic meters of fresh water to raise the 90% of livestock

Divide that by nine to get 10% of livestock so we can compare with the USA's 10% production of livestock

so we have the world using 333.11 billion cubic meters (lets round to 300)
The US is using .01 X 1 billion cubic meters or .01

300 divided by .01 = 30,000

So the graphic showing 33% usage is telling us that the rest of the world needs
Thirty Thousand times as much water to raise livestock?

If so, then the solution isn't going vegan, it's fixing the way the rest of the world does things. Do people in the rest of the world need thirty thousand times as much water to shower or brush their teeth too?

(5) trying to pull data from numerous sources, including US vs world Cattle data, meat consumption, livestock raised worldwide - seemed to generate between 8-11% 10% is my best guestimate without spending hours. Even if the factor was 5% or 1% the 30,000 figure would still be 15,000 or 3,000 times as high.

Watch the movie. Bottom line to keep that animal alive to feed you uses 95% more resources per calorie than if you ate what what that animal ate directly. Not to mention pesticides, general unhealthiness of being a meat eater, land use for them, clear cutting natural habitats, dead zoning our oceans, etc.

Yeah, I agree that it wasn't a small government speech. I thought he was listing some sane things to spend on, but a lot of them. It does beg the question "with what money?" I think higher tariffs on imports, a more even distribution of fiscal responsibility for NATO, and savings through cuts to immigrant welfare explain some of it, but probably not enough.

That said, I didn't expect different. Trump backed Canadian-style single-payer healthcare back in 2000; I never expected extreme fiscal conservatism from him. It's hilarious that he's even considered right-wing; that fact speaks to how hysterical the social justice left has become about witch-hunting heretics within its ranks.

Obviously with massive debt. The prophecy that Trump bankrupt America need to be fulfilled.

No dispute at all about that. Eating higher on the food chain ultimately uses up more resources.
