Nerf Vaal orbs

Anyone reading this doesn't care about vaal orbs being in the game because you haven't lost an item that took you months to obtain. In what other game is it possible via a mouse clik to erase months of someone time and effort to say nothing of the money GGG loses when someone quits the game after they use a vaal orb like I have. I was a paying customer unaware of exactly what vaal orbs did. I used it on an item that at the time of this writing was worth 13 exalt which I myself made into a 6L. I was aware that a vaal orb could result in the lessening or the removal of a stat. I was willing to take this chance. Instead, The vaal orb turned my disfavor into a totally different crap rare. GGG why would you allow something in the game to exist which would be so bad that could make someone quit the game and you lose money? Can you name me a game that is as ruinsome to someone's time as PoE is with vaal orbs? again everyone reading this is in the boat named "Well it didn't happen to me thank god"

From GGG Business standpoint is what I am targeting here. Vaal orbs cost GGG income.

did they add -change item as a possible stat recently? i don't recall having vaal change into a totally different item, only recently it seems. imo vaal should not change base item type. my experience i needed a vaal rare map to flag in my mapping and it changed into another map.

I mean personally if I saw that an orb modified items "unpredictably" I would test it on a few cheap items first. And then I would find out you can't modify the item, and I would keep that shot as far away from my 16 ex items as possible.

GGG is certainly free to take your advice if they feel it is appropriate. But I wish GGG would quit with the focus on profit maximization. Profit is maximized when you make Diablo 3. I don't want Path of Exile to be Diablo 3. I want it to be Path of Exile!

I guess I'm going off topic here but this is starting to remind me of the story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Deviation from the norm shall be punished unless it can be exploited for gain. Fuck me for wanting a game with meaningful choices, better buff suit through the roof with bigger and bigger numbers, that'll rake in the cash.

Cost them income? And you are pulling those numbers from where? your ass no doubt.
Also "Why use something when you don't know what it does" is a perfectly valid argument you are prob the kind of person who uses a fuse on a 5 linked 6 socket item and then cry i lost my 5 link your lack of game knowledge doesnt mean the item should be changed it just means you need more game knowledge.

Vaal orbs are one of the best additions to the game. High stakes gambling. Don't use them on your 10+ ex items, if you are not prepared to loose them.

Sorry OP, but the blame is all on you. Everything about vaal orbs is explained on the wiki page. Just one minute of reading, to not fvk up your 10+ ex items...
