unused beta codes should...
would be nice to know how many keys are left unused
sounds like a fair suggestion though | |
" Hell yes it is, but do you think GGG will do that? Fuck no, they won't. I know how the game companies work, I got decades behind the gaming scene. " And they still believe such user will play this out of no where. it can happen yes, but not very often. (now I'm not pointing you, just the first paragraph, I bet you feel and know this as much as I do) So why not making sure the active players get in FIRST before the inactive ones? disrespect, leaving apart your real community. The actual "lottery system" should be for the active players AND THEN for the ones that don't even log in for months. who knows if they still want to play this game or not? you better get 10 surely loyal players than 1 hundred ""not supporting and staying around"" players, feel me brah? People that show the most interest should be the ones getting in first period. In how many other ways should I explain this incase someone doesn't understand this situation. I don't care for the game itself, I just bother because this can be a big fucking good game worth play after years and it seems since the very begining early beta there's disrespect to the active members. from my point of view GGG got clever ideas, but 0 management (since they leave apart their active players, whats the reason for that) tho I might be wrong who knows, this is too early to critize a game company, this is their very first step, ofcourse I have that in mind. Even I had start. Critize my idea, oppose to my ideas and show why I am wrong, I have endless explanations and solutions for this to success in the very early moments. http://pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1753

It would be nice if GGG did this. |

this is such a good idea!
"And the timer said let there be light!"
"And there was light, The timer said Let there be thunder, And there was thunder" "And the timer said LET THERE BE TORTURE STARVATION AND INSOMNIA, and there was all of these things struck down upon.... anyone who gazed upon its deathly figure.." |

" It's not disrespect to the active community, they are just giving everyone an equal chance to get in. But I would agree that the active community should get a higher priority because what use is having beta testers who are not using the forums to share their opinions on the game, bugs they may find or suggestions they may have. As for the issue of keys going unused, I would definitly agree that there needs to be some sort of system for the keys they hand out so that they then get passed on if they are not used within a period of time. This would also mean more members get an opportunity to join the beta than with the current system. Proud Kiwi Game Developer Last edited by SecondDegree#5550 on Aug 12, 2011, 4:40:09 AM

Agree. Saw a lot of people getting invites and they haven't been logged in since they registered so those keys probably won't be used.

everyone fails to realize that if everyone invited would be someone who actually plays the beta the timer would be alooot longer. Your chanses would remain the same, you are not very smart.

On one hand, those who got here first should be rewarded for their support.
On the other hand, it does leave you with a sour taste in your mouth when that guy who hasn't logged in in months gets a key over you. Still, this may be a form of easing very slowly into the beta, and in the event of any major crashes or hotfixes or whatnot it would lessen the inconvenience. I'm sure the pace will pick up soon, and hey, what're you losing by having to wait a bit more? :-)

SO TRUE Before the Veteran beta inviter I rarely saw in the inviter someone who is really active :(
I suggest to make two beta inviter clocks and decrease the ammound of time to wait before the next key for the Veteran and increase for the random cause the Veterans are the ones who deserve to play the beta and test not a random gyu who stopped by accidentaly at the site made an account and never came back :S |

" No they are not. I am PRETTY sure I am not the only one who registered when GGG decided to use this distribution system. Whereas I was lurking for quite a while. Maybe longer than you? You see where I'm going with this? This is imho a fair system if I recall right that Vets are in both pools. |
