Am I the only one to skip trials?

I skip em as much as possible. When GGG announced that trials for one character would unlock labs for all characters in a league, I was a happy camper for sure! I only ever did a couple of map trials, then got annoyed and just skipped them because 6 AP was fine for my character. Unfortunately I'm working on a character now that pretty much really needs all 8 so I'm going to have to do them all this time. Pain in the ass, I might just find something else to do besides POE, haha... The guitar is looking more and more attractive these days, I've been meaning to get back to practicing on that thing.
I only do them on my life regen char (aka cheese them), there is one I always skip, forgot the name. I hate labyrinths, I still think they have no place in a game like this, it just doesn't give any satisfaction passing some traps instead of killing monsters. I'm happy the trials have some monster packs, without them I would possible skip them because it would feel like work, not gaming.
I don't care what elitists say (l2p etc), I just don't like them, easy or not.
I dont even think its the traps most people hate... its how hard whatever his name is that i cant ever remember and wont try to

I did uberlab on my RF yesterday ad died right at the end with 9.1k hp... was i mad? yes did i try again? no because i dont feel like doing that shit over again just to most likely die to random shit again

When you die in lab it should send you back to the start of the lab with everything you have done still done so you can just run to the end if you died at the end...

Burning Rage? Last one I did, I ran around for about 30 minutes. Run around, hit a switch, run around, hit a switch, check the door. Locked. Look for another switch, run around hit the switch, run around, hit another switch, still locked. Run around looking for another switch, swat some skeletons in my way, run back to safe spot, run around some more, then finally run onto the hot floor and let it burn me up just to port out of that mess. I could have run around for an hour in there if I wanted, but I had had plenty already. Maybe if you could see what the fuck happened whenever you hit a switch it would be ok. I'm sure I could eventually get ok at it but meh...

Really I'd much rather kill monsters, grab loot, kill monsters, grab loot and level up to kill bigger monsters. THAT'S the game I signed up for, not this trials/lab crap.

Yeah that too. Not Izaro so much as the no second chance thing. Seems like about half the time if I'm running a lab my ISP knows this and drops out for about 10 seconds. Fuckin pain in the ass I tell ya
I'm playing a CI character with no ES regen from ZO, so the Ubers gauntlets are dangerous. I don't consider myself a great player, but it's just terribly un-fun. I enjoy a good hard fight - Izaro is tuned alright for me, as it's a fight that properly requires either over-gearing or excellent mechanical skill. Its the long gauntlets with no spot to take a breath that get me. I don't agree that those are skill based. Zoom through before you die isn't fun.

At least in the original three lab difficulties, all the gauntlets might have been dangerous, but could be navigated through controlled movement. Throwing in the turrets on top of the traps, in my opinion, removed the skill and replaced it with "bring 2 quicksilvers or brightbeak/leap/faster attacks, and regen through it"

I think the Labyrinth is an awesome idea, and I enjoy running it when the risk of death is under my control, and not my gear's.

For traps as CI, use a Darkscorn bow and a Soulstrike quiver on your weapon swap. Swap to that before you run through traps. Darkscorn makes you take damage as chaos damage. Since you are CI, you are immune to that damage. Combined with a granite and a basalt, you should be good. Soulstrike will make your ES regen start MUCH faster.

how the hell did you die in lab with an RF toon with 9k hp ? its like one of the easiest builds for lab, your regen alone should carry you through all traps

Not everyone has that luxury. Half my zombies would disappear, one specter too. Many auras would turn off...

Sure, but plenty of builds can use that method. That said, weapon swap losing minions is honestly far from the worst thing summoners have to deal with right now. God bless you for carrying the summoner torch. Maybe some day GGG will actually fix the totally fucked mechanics XD.

I consider Lab a necessary evil to get the 6 points so the Trials are also an annoying but necessary task. I haven't done uber Lab yet. I was busily playing my Essence League poison arrow trapper assassin build and was working through Battlefront when I thought "damn I haven't done any Labs with this build yet" so at level 67 I went back and face rolled Normal and Cruel Izaro to get 4 Asc points. Easy peasy and I wasn't planning to over-level that much before making a lab run but just forgot to run them. Trials and Lab traps are mostly easy to skip over with Blink Arrow and fast move speed.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.
