Hi, first of all, thanks for sharing your build, I'm giving this build a try on EHC, seems to be working fine so far.

I'm following the dual curse build.

One question, do you see a good spot for a intuitive leap jewel to save a few points?

Hey I don't think you would save any points with an intuitive leap jewel, it could have some benefit though in the following places. The jewel node above "Devotion" on the tree would be half decent, opening up the "Faith and Steel" node, "Light of Divinity" and also an Endurance charge.

The jewel node at the top centre of the Witch could be useful for gaining the "Alchemist" node, "Blast Radius" node and possibly "Arcane Focus" node.

The investment may not be worth it but if you decide to try it let me know what you think, I have only given a small amount of thought to intuitive leap myself so there could be more that I am missing.

First, thanks for the build, have enjoyed finding it. Has been very smooth and surprisingly effective.

One thing that I did, which I haven't seen mentioned, was to use a Doedre's Damning ring for the second curse which frees up the neck for covering resists and stats without requiring the +1 Curse corruption. It was a much cheaper option in ESC. Am still in lowbie maps and tinkering with the build but can see the potential, particularly playing it as an early league starter build.

Hey dude I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the build and thanks for making a post here. The +1 Curse ring is a really good idea and I haven't mentioned it at all as a gearing option. I will update the thread so other people can see and have an easier time gearing up or atleast more choices.

Edit: I also added Windscream Boots as an alternative option.

Sceptre's implicit value is Elemental Damage which will help our initial hit and burn damage at the same time.
Wand's implicit value is usually Spell Damage only or Cast Speed etc, This will help the initial hit but not the burning damage. Dagger's have Crit Strike Chance implicit's so also are not ideal. Thank's for the question I think I'll add it to the F.A.Q section.

This works on Ignite (and poison and decay).
Spell damage wands double dip on vortex, which is nice.
They won't for flameblast though.

Hi i just started playing this game, and decided to try your build, looks fun while having good survivability ^^
Hey man, thanks for your work presenting this build, it is really cool !

First time playing Vortex and also about second time playing HC. It feels great, have not had any problem leveling, it has been a blast from the start (when you can use Vortex).

Level 78 now, I am playing quite safe to avoid most risks, and I think I will go for Merciless Lab tonight. I have been avoiding it for too long and want to get it done. Cruel was a piece of cake, although done at level 62/64 I think.

I am just missing good defense gear and the ugly Carcass, but so far no problems as long as I am at res cap. I used the dual curse in the tree though since I play mostly solo self found (except for the uniques obviously) and I certainely cannot afford a dual curse amulet at the moment. I took Rathpith first because I had a good opportunity.

EDIT: Alright, just done Merc Lab. Was not that hard after all, except for the last fight, I was so stressed that I forgot to use Orb of Storms and Frost Bomb for a minute and got myself in a bad position a few times lol
Also, Decoy Tot is a game changer against Izaro and Argus, don't forget to use it guys.
