buff monster life and damage across the board.
No, they buff monster life pool each big expension or almost and it is always the same after few month it is still not enough. Then there are those poor players who can t kill anything in a 6 man party because their dps is not 1 millions.
Buffing monster damage is a good solution however and also making monsters who actualy pose a threat to ranged build. Lets be honest all the people who complain game too easy are playing ranged. Poe Pvp experience

" lel but true. People who want monster life buffed can t understand casual then are pooping their pants when they play 6 man party and can t down even 1% life of a white skelly. Only monster AI and damage in maps should be touched imo. Poe Pvp experience https://youtu.be/Z6eg3aB_V1g?t=302 Last edited by Head_Less#6633 on Aug 11, 2016, 8:11:48 PM

" I don't know. It's kinda fun as it is but i think many of the map bosses are too weak. They die in a second or two with the damage we have now. I think the bosses should be stronger and deadlier atleast. It's quite different compared to playing diablo 1/hellfire for sure. Dodging those blood stars and chasing down the succubi were very challenging. Last edited by kompaniet#2874 on Aug 11, 2016, 9:16:05 PM

I agree with OP although I don't think it's necessary to buff monster damage. Monster damage is fine if you don't kill the whole screen before enemies can strike back.
One of my PHC chars was that OP EQ jug to complete some challenges. It was the first time I did unid red rare maps in HC. No player skill needed, it took sloppy play in a nasty -max extra ele dam etc. unid courtyard to RIP that one. With other chars I got bored around the mid 80s as it just comes down to facerolling yellow maps at that point. Only backtrack prophecies kept me sane.^^ |

Well, currently the game has a bit of a bind here, that may not prove fixable.
As it stands, the meta is "make sure you can soak up one single burst, and then forget about durability." There's no such thing as "prolonged" durability; you either die to a virtual one-shot, or you survive and effortlessly leech up enough life to not worry. So that's the issue with monster damage; increasing their damage doesn't really change the meta at all; it just shifts that "threshold." And in the meantime, shifting that threshold REALLY hurts some classes more than others. For one, it'd make armour much less viable, as it'd punch through that more; and unlike the other two types, armour is build around assuming you take repeated hits; evasion and ES assume you'll have a lot of spacing between any hits you take. Similarly, just adding monster life won't affect it that much. Those that feel it most will be those with weaker builds and gear. No matter what GGG does, there will still be pro streamers and other no-lifers who will still waltz through each league and one-shot everything and blitz maps all in under 2 minutes, and hit level 100 a couple weeks in. I honestly have doubts it's something that can ever be "solved." " To be honest, that looks kinda like how true melee is still today, indicating nothing's changed. :V My guides: Summon Homing Missile (SRS) | Act II starter RF | Budget Oro's Flicker Strike Last edited by ACGIFT#1167 on Aug 12, 2016, 12:27:11 AM

The op is looking at it from a greedy standpoint by proposing to punishing all instead of asking for area's that have mobs with more hp and dps.
Funny for a guy to be flexing while hiding his profile :) |

" But I'm not even hiding my profile... am I? Oh that's right I am hiding tabs other than overview, it's silly but I don't want people to look through my stuff and builds since, like I said, I'm sort of a hipster in this game. No harm in it I'm sure, and you can see plain and simple I have multiple hc chars with ok-ish levels in the overwiew. Was't my intention to flex either - was just stating a fact that game got easier with ascendancy, while there is no difficulty raise. Concerned about game getting too easy at this point, with OP rares coming up in a month or so. I didn't even say that I "squish ants on the sidewalk" personally. If you do "squish ants" though, my question is - how do you get any sense of accomplishment out of it if they clearly don't have a chance? The metaphore I made with "squishing ants" was meant to show I_NO that it might get pointless to play the game; in his alleged alcohol induced clarity he stated that he ******* loves the fact that he can steamroll every single piece of content because he likes to feel godlike. (which is a valid point in a way). I don't consider my proposal to be "greedy" or "punishing for everyone". "Fair", "challanging" that's what I want. We got lots of free power lately and the game just didn't adjust to this. I feel misunderstood and demand formal apology and a hug. |
