Why is GGG facilitating scripts/bots trading

Why do i get spammed every time i put an item in my public tab.
Like Instantly, i put the item there and my mouse cant reach the close button before i get hit by 5+ spam messages that someone wants to nab my item.

Sometimes it happens before i even manage to price it. Which is weird to say the least.

And what happened to "scripts are not allowed" and all that jazz, scripts that automate more than 1-2 clicks...

You say you dont want to make trade too easy.
Okay, fine.
You say that you dont want to have an auction house.
Okay, fine.
Therefore, you allow all trade items to be scanned as they are available and nabbed up by people who are not even there to play the game. I could be sitting at my other pc and watching a movie, and still be among the first guys on any trade deal. All i need to do is enable the alert and im there.

How does this above make any sense to you GGG guys. This is an auction house, one step removed.
People defend the lack of AH with "bots could do auto trades", but what do we have now?

And we could also get into the fact that poe xyz often catches items that are not in public stash tabs, or in procurement/acquisition and people get spammed for items nobody should know they own.

This bothers me, and has always bothered me.
I use poe trade, and i use public stash tabs to trade.
Why? It is efficient... well, more efficient than trade chat. Thousands of leagues more efficient than SSF.

Programs are running the "core part of poe" and GGG allows it for no apparent reason. Well, other than its better let other people do it, even if we go back on "we dont allow automation".

Chip in, or dont... i just had this in me and wanted to put it out there.

Script? Lol what poe.trade has a feature where it watches an item if something pops up it will play a sound.

I do it too mind you that's not a script.

Example lets say a shav is a basic 8 ex right now I leave poe.trade on the browser and new results show up oh hey ones undercutting for 5 ex okay lets nab that asap of course people will have the same idea hence why you got multiple tells.

What you wrote, and what i outlined does not compute. Even what you do is a script, but one built into poexyz. Still a "robot" warns you that a new item is there and saves you from browsing the list and comparing prices and all that.
What you do would look like this in an World of Warcraft AH : I spam the refresh button constantly and wait for a new entry while i arrange the list for ascending prices. Or a specific range.

Here, a computer(built in script) does all that for you and plays a sound when something new happens.

Now, for someone to be as fast as the guys who whisper first they would need another script. One you can possibly attach to any browser that would automate a few clicks for you and interface it with poe. That is not too hard, and its obviously done. We are talking under 1 second whispers. Nobody is that fast.

I click the item, it jumps to my trade tab. I move mouse to the close window. That is a smooth motion and you know how long it takes. In that 1 second i get 5+ messages.
This is real time, and it is completely automated.

I do not mind that people are using things that GGG obviously condones. I mind the fact that they condone it while keeping the rhetoric of "we are against automation" and we are against an auction house.

But what we have now, for the initiated, is an Auction House that sings and dances for you, if you only wish it so.

Please dont force me to make my points multiple times, there is no need for it.
If you use adblock you know how fast it blocks ads... you dont even notice the speed.
If 5+ people whisper me at that speed you know a computer is doing it. And it is seriously lame.

Even the playing field... dont go G W Bush style "lets not and say we did"..

It's not a fucking script like fuck stop that lol

The system that we have now in my opinion breaks the TOS. Bots are doing the trading. People can sugar coat it all they want, but we have automated processes that do all the heavy lifting.

If you bot, you get banned.
IF you use a script that automates trade revisions, and then use a script to spam the owner of the desired items then you are within TOS.

I am not saying they should somehow try to track this... just do it in house.

Having an Auction House run by a third party, and then calling it something else is funny to say the least.

Why not? They allow Macros, though.

Their line is the interaction whats needed to do the trade itself.
