male wizard looks like crap

I agree, I'd say the dev's are more concerned with actually getting the game mechanics working correctly before worrying about adding customization options. They've already stated that customizations will be paid for anyway.
The standard models fit the story line really well.
a) The Old Bald Guy in a Skirt isn't the mage class.

b) Alot of use like that GGG arn't going with the bog basic stereotypical character image.

c) GGG needs something to sell in its ethical cash shop and character graphics will sell well im going to guess.

Edit - sos now I look at it again this post looks somewhat trolly that wans't the intention but the points are still valid. pls disregard the tone.
I wouldn't be here but I was out voted 3 to 1 by the other personalities.

The cosmetic shop will solve the problems for ppl in the long run.

Atm i think we should be happy that they are focusing on getting the core things working correct and tweaking them to the best of there ability.

So that when the game goes live, we do not have a rushed bug-party.

Don´t worry , if you back-track on the forum about other issues ppl have taken up and check the patch notes.

And just log inside the game after that , you will notice that the numbers of issues they have/are sorting/sorted out has been allot :)

I can understand your frustration about not your problem being fixed right away. But as they pointed out before , time & money.

All things has it´s turn

Many ppl have also raised consent about problems they feel are in the game , some flame , some go angry-bird on the keyboard. But then you have the ppl that find problems they share , they pool there knowledge together , and send in constructive ideas on how it could be fixed in different ways.

Me and my friends where kinda stocked over curses at start. Then we noticed they last so short , and soon stopped using them. Sure , they where great , but things died fast enough still so was no big´y. And we wanted to actually hack&slash more then we where recasting curses.

We asked about being able to spec for more time on it , comically the coming path there was a keystone for it.

Probably was already planned , but still. It feels better knowing you possible helped out instead of just screaming out.

"This is wrong , i want it fixed"

going out with

"developers should not use you as a barometer."

is pretty arrogant , and not really on the low lv.

So just chill man :)

We all have our frustrations but no need to get worked up over it ^^

Specifically, if you want to play as a mage you have to play it as a very old bald guy in a skirt.

It would have been a lot better and made more story sense if you had a young handsome mage, an apprentice, after all you level up your character from zero, don't you?
LULZ but does he have to look like a homosexual like the one in D3?

No, it's just that over 90% of RPG gamers are male, and barring some transsexuals why would they want to play as females?

I pretend she doesn't even exist, it can't get more immersion breaking than playing as a female.

In an isometric game, where the only thing I'm ever going to see of my character is the gear they're wearing, I personally don't see it as being a problem.

As for gender locked classes, that's also not an issue for me. If there is a choice I'll almost always choose a male character (as a main anyways). But, if the class I want to play is a female it doesn't bother me. I had a lot of fun with the Diablo II Sorceress and Amazon, as well as the Vanquisher from Torchlight.
Looks to me like the thing dragging this game down the most is Diablo 3. This is taking into consideration that D3 is likely to release fairly soon now.

If D3 is released before PoS then that makes it both a more available and higher quality game. D3 would take people from PoS since they are similar styles of games.
I couln't picture leaving D3 to play PoS.

Sometimes a game should be pushed a little faster in order to compete. Xbox 360 vs PS3 for instance. PS3 is a better console in every way but by the time it had released to many people already had a 360.

What good was the PS3 when all your friends were playing xbox?
you don`t like the game for the character desing? i played diablo 2, my favorite was the paladin, i didn`t want to have a black guy has my character but well... is the character, can`t do anything.
