Let's stay with maxed gear.

45% * 5 rare pieces with 3 resis on each = 225% all resist, which will leave you with 165% in merc.

Factor in elemental equilibrium (-50%) + flam/cond/frost (-44%) + ele weakness (-39%), this means you will end up with 32% resistances. Then you factor in penetration on top of that.

Hang on, what about chaos resistance? Guess you forgot about that part, huh?

Of course, this is following ahfack's build, with helm/body/amulet being uniques - his guide discusses in depth the reasoning behind his choice of gear. There is a reason why his build/setup is considered one of the best in pvp for melee: it works, and it does it with style.

Why didnt you say there's a occulist pvper can use EE, lvl26 flam/cond/frost/ele weakness with increased 70% curse effect on tree/enchantment and also she takes void beacon (-20% chaos res) so that you need to cap total 355 all ele res and 140 chaos res? I give up, Nice arguement!

Let's be some more practical based on OP's gears/guide ok?
According to OP's gears, he has
cold 176
fire 158
light 145
chaos 89
So I assume OP's goal is to cap res at 170~180 which is easily achievable with 4 rare's. Even if you're matching with a heavy reduce res pvp build, you can always swap in a rare helm to get cap res at 225% res. (265% if you have 4*10% all res in jewel, thats your goal right?)

I guess you're gonna ask some stupid question about "what if you run out of flasks?" I will answer you now, its just the issue of your build. Normally a pvper has 2 to 3 curses, and they definitely will use TC in one of them. So once you run out of warding flask, you cant even move with TC.

Most raw PDPS in the entire game, even has crit/multi that helps resale value. If you want the highest dps in the game, you get this axe. Goto Jin and get something mirrored from another legit player. I got nothing but nice things to say about that dude, and there's a reason for that.


If you want highest DMG/tooltip for EQ, go crit staff and buy that from trav_dawg.


If you want to stay EQ-DOT no matter what happens to the voidheart...

Although I do agree that most other melee skills need to be reworked/buffed I would say we will probably see Earthquake nerfed to be inline with the rest of the melee skills before we see all those other skills brought up to par with Earthquake

It's the strongest melee skill right now, GGG will probably give it the static strike/ice crash treatment next league so enjoy while you can.

Then you get my axe, it's really as simple as that. People that use these builds know what can happen.
