Yes, the belt is mandatory. Without its just a normal cyclone build.

Build Update: I have been playing around with a Leap Slam + 4L HoA build lately, with very promising results. I have posted several videos demonstrating the powerful AoE and clear speed of this setup. I plan to continue play testing for a few more days, and update the build to recommend Leap Slam over Cyclone for map clearing unless I hit any major issues.

Would be interesting to see the HoA damage in a nice Essence of Horror helm, just for shits and giggles.

I will still probably keep HoA 4L though. The burn is still noticeable.

I have a question. I have your exact gear and skill tree. Except for the vinktars. Even the gems are the same. But, my tooltip dps is 35k, not 500K. I'm missing some zeroes. I've copied other builds from other people too and have always been short several zeroes. Now my question is...how? Are people using a different tooltip dps or a different client? Or maybe just photoshopping?

I'm simply hovering my mouse over the Cyclone icon on my right mouse click. Keep in mind this is while attacking with all buffs up. Make sure you aren't accidentally hovering over your Default Attack icon (the sword).

Hello,

After having saved up some currency in the breach league I figured I should finally go make a melee build.
At the moment I'm getting near level 60 and just got the belt sorted out.

Now I've read that I need to grab vaal pact in order for the build to function properly. (IE be broken AF)
But which nodes would you suggest to drop in order to grab vaal pact?
Or would you suggest a different layout for the passive tree if you don't have aces to legacy items?
